[Trailer] The Incredible Hulk

Is it wise to make a trailer then? Maybe it would have been better to show only non-CGI scenes? (A single scene at the end where the Hulk appears might be okay...)
I think if a superhero movie can stand on its own even without focusing on the superhero/mutant and action scenes, it will probably be a good movie. I think that where also the strengths of Spiderman, Iron Man and Batman Begins.

I thought the same thing. I was really surprised how much they showed in the trailer, especially with the Hulk and Abomination fighting. Didn't leave much for the actual movie. The CGI really turned me off too.

From what I've heard, Hulk/Abomination fight is going to be a long one. I think I've heard around 20 minutes, so they aren't showing as much of it as it seems.

And yeah, the CGI is a little wonky...but I'm looking forward to this. The cast is great, and I like the fact that its putting Hulk into the hero role rather than evil monster the entire time. Though I think a lot of what's got my attention is its connection to the other Marvel movies coming out, and to the old 70s TV show. When I heard that piano theme played at the end of the trailer it just made me smile.

Yeah Roth is the man IMO.

As far as the special effects go, I did think they looked a little off, but they're still good enough for me to go see it. The story looks miles ahead of Lee's version at any rate. Besides, the trailers were probably made some time ago while the CG was still being worked on. It may well be better in the final version (I found that was the case with the last Hulk movie, for what that was worth).

True. Trailers are assembled about one to two months before release, and they have to be approved, etc. They are assembled from footage the post-production staff hand over. So add a few months' worth of rendering to that CGI.

Disagree all you want. It doesn't make me wrong. Roth played Banner with all the depth of a rain puddle. Not to mention the emotional range of Al Gore. Norton knows pathos.

Er...

Tim Roth is the one playing the Abomination.

Eric Bana played Banner in the first Hulk.

I don't know why so many people have a hic-up on the CGI aspect of the movie... all in all the movie looks just fricken cool, seeing that tank get ripped in half was great and that fight is going to be epic...

I'm excited for it, plus the tie in with Tony Stark is the real reason why I want to see it.

I watched the Ang Lee Hulk trailer after this one. Ang Lee's Hulk just looks better. Hopefully the new Hulk will be a better movie.

I think the effects and cinematography look about equal, but Edward Norton and Liv Tyler are wooorlds ahead of Eric Bana and whatserface. I'd go see any movie, literally any movie, that had Edward Norton in it, and I don't say that lightly. Also, Tim Roth is awesome awesome -- so while I was pretty meh when they first announced they were making another Hulk movie, I've gotten a million times more excited since then. Can't wait!

Eric Bana/Edward Norton, I'll agree.

But Liv Tyler/Jennifer Connelly? Absolutely not.
