Trouble with Rogue / Invisible Blade

Folks:

Is there any way to build a rogue / invisible blade combination with a metahuman without going to 6th level rogue?

It feels one feat short. You need weapon focus dagger, far shot, and point blank shot for the PrC. You also need 3d6 sneak attack damage. A human can do this, obviously enough, but I honestly can't think of a way to build this with an elf.

Obviously, also, if the extra level could be put to some strong use, I wouldn't mind going to 6th character level. It just seems putting that in rogue is particularly non-useful. The best I've been able to think of is monk, perhaps.

best,

Well, if you need 3 feats, you need 3 feats. They won't miraculously appear out of nowhere. :)

Strongheart halfling (FRCS) can do it (because they also get a bonus feat at 1st).

One level of cleric can be good (elf domain (FRCS) gives free point blank shot, so you have another feat to spend), always nice to be able to use those divine wands without having to roll for UMD and those low level spells can be handy at times (detect magic, protection from evil, comprehend languages, cure light wounds, etc). Of course, you still need a total of 6 levels then.

One level of fighter gives a feat, so you could go fighter 1/ rogue 5; there isn't really a way to do it without going to 6th character level, which is probably intentional, most PrC are designed to be enterable at 7th level at the earliest.

Ahh, but Thanee, I regularly ask the impossible. :)

Actually, cleric is looking better and better. If I could find a god with elf / war that had the dagger as a specific weapon. That would take the cake:

1. Elf (free PBshot)
2. War (free weapfocus dagger)
3. Turning, which I could use to fuel a later Divine Might feat.

I likes, I likes. Finding the god might be a tad rough. Any elf-gods out there favor daggers or Kukris?

Hmmm. The requirements in my copy of CW don't say anything about sneak attack. In fact, the dagger sneak attack ability mentions:

An invisible blade gains the sneak attack ability ... if he does not already have it...

There are two elven gods with dagger as favored weapon in the FRCS, but no war domain. ;)

They do have some decent other choices, tho.
Elf domain, Magic domain, Charm domain, Travel domain, Plant domain.

About the sneak attack... it stacks with previously gained sneak attack. Quite weird, that it says you only gain it, when you don't have it already.

You could always select a Fault (UA) as a trade off for an additional Feat at 1st level... just think of it as adding 'flavour' to the character
