You people are using True Strike the hard way.
Just get yourself the Leadership feat and ask for a low-level (1st level even) arcane caster who was nothing better to do in a fight then tap you EVERY ROUND with the True Strike wand you gave him for such occasions.
Or better yet, make this low-level cohort a cleric of some god of Magic and give him the wand. His armor wearing and HP and Save abilities will keep him alive longer, and he can even heal you in a pinch.
Or BEST of all, pull off THIS trick with your DM: Get yourself a truly unique familiar that has hands, can talk, and then have your DM agree to let him use wands (tell him he is "emulating" one of your "skills" like familiars are wont to do.) Then have this tiny familiar hide in the folds of your robe and buff you with True Strike every round.
All of the above tactics require NO action on your part to activate the True Strike...so you are truly losing nothing in terms of attack opportunities.
(Call my DM crazy, but my cleric actually has a familiar like the one above, and while he DOES have a small chance to miscast these "oversized" wands, I AM planning on getting him a True Strike wand just as soon as we get to Waterdeep!

I wonder how long the familiar misuse will last and then I have to take that Leadership feat?? )
EDIT: Damn! I just realized that True Strike is a Personal spell so you CAN'T tap someone else with a wand, right? Darn. Oh well, thank Mystra for my familiar then! No wait! That won't work either. Oh well, I guess he'll just keep giving me my Protections from Evil and Sanctuaries then. Sorry to hijack the True Strike thread needlessly and stupidly. At least this goes to show that maybe True Strike ISN'T broken since you can't give it to someone else...only a (usually) non-combatant like spellcasters can use it.
