Yeah but you'd think he'd reform after the rumor of PJ saying Sauron would actually be more than just a disembodied eye in RotK.

Welverin, they're not talking about the character of Sauron, but rather a certain Troll that prowled this site one year ago... Hopefully, as the Doc pointed out, he's been destroyed.

If I recall, Sauron-with-a-Pokey-Helmet apologized for his trollish ways after he actually went to SEE FotR and absolutely loved it. I had posted to one of his threads (I was Quantanephilim at the time) my argument that the book and the movie are two different pieces of art, with different merits, flaws, and interpretations, and must be judged and enjoyed from different perspectives... and he took it to heart.

But he was such a frequent poster... he's probably still here, under a different name, and not telling us who he is...

I must give Sauron-w-p-h credit for being man enough to come out and admit his opinion had been changed after seeing the movie, and grudgingly give his concession speech.

Oh, I know who they're talking about. I remember him quite well, I also distinctly remember someone mentioning not so long ago that PJ was reported to say that you can't go through three movies without showing the main bad guy at the end.
