Tumble

Other than the obvious (see below), are there any other ways to increase your tumble skill?

- Ranks
- Dexterity (and anything that increases it)
- Synergy with Jump

Isn't that related to the skill trick "Tumble in the Sheets?"

OK, I get it - reduce your armor check penalty. Valid, but I am hoping for actually increasing the skill, not reducing potential penalties...

Magic Items? I mean, it would be easy enough to create one that give a competence bonus to Tumble. And a masterwork tool, if you're the sort to allow that, would give a circumstance bonus (Harness of Tumbling or such? Idk what you'd call it).

Oh, and the Acrobatic feat, or Skill Focus feat (and it looks like the two feats would stack, since they are unnamed bonuses).

There may be other feats that give bonuses as well.

I cannot give either of you XP.

As far as the big Charisma, wouldn't the jangling of it hinder my tumble and cause nutcracker damage in Peasants and Plagues?

As far as the feats, you are right. However, I just don't find a +2 to be worthy of a feat. I relooked at feats though and found Daredevil Athlete that would give +5 3x per day. Better, but still not worth it.

As far as magic items, I know in theory you cna make one, but it would be a much easier sell to a DM if I could point at an existing item that boosts Tumble...

Another idea - any way to take 10 or 20 on Tumble while under stress?

There might be something in MIC. I don't have it with me right now, so I can't check.

I believe you'd need a class feature that allows that. While I'm fairly sure I've seen some prestige classes with that ability, I don't know what they are off the top of my head.
