You know, without Finnian, we're going to have a tough time with skill checks involving people and Vaunea.

Actually, I've got a quick in-character fix for this...

But if someone else wants to NPC Finnian, that would be great. I just know I wouldn't do a good job in this scenario keeping any sense of character stability to Finnian. He would basically become my little whipping boy...and bird.

I sent him an e-mail and received no response, so I guess he's quit. Don't worry about NPC-ing him. I've got an idea...

"Anna!" shouts Swillwort from another room.

She jumps. "Come in! Come in!"

The maid escorts you to Swillwort, who is sitting in the sun room, reading. The artificer puts down his book and smiles. "Ah! Hadarai! What can I do for you?"[/sblock]

In the Street Outside Marco's Home

[sblock=Emral and Vaunea Only]Emral arrives at Marco's home just in time to see Finnian and Vaunea walking down the street to the house with the alchemical ingredient.

While standing on the sidewalk, surveying the situation, Vaunea notices that Finnian has become unnervingly quiet. She realizes that he has been standing in the same posture, doing nothing more than blinking (and that not very often), for over a minute, without so much as a twitch.[/sblock]

Vaunea takes notice of the two kids sitting in the yard. "Hi. What you two do?"

The two children squeak and flee into the house.

Then, turning her attention to Finnian, she give him a good poke, trying to figure out what has happened with the Ranger.

Finnian takes a step in the direction that Vaunea pokes toward, but otherwise remains unresponsive. His eyes are distant, unfocused. His breathing is very regular.[/sblock]

Drivan sighs in frustration, as much as he can while tied up in an extremely uncomfortable position. Drivan lowers his voice, attempting to speak only to Olivia.

"I'm not messing with your head, you seem intelligent and interesting, I'm not trying to set anything up for getting out of here, don't worry. But when that time comes I'll make sure that nothing happens to you..."

Do I have any options to try and escape the knots as they are? Only choice is really an acrobatics or strength check, right?[/sblock]
