Taylar had little faith that the specter would heed his words, and was waiting for an aggressive act. Seeing that the apparition moved right through the door, he does not think his baton will do him much good in this fight. He intends to lunge at his opponent, and use Way to Heat it.

Raven Elk, suspecting physical weapons will have little if any effect, gets ready to use Way to attempt to dispel or turn the ghost.

Being farthest from the angry spirit, Vittero intends to relight the globes. For even though the apparition can be seen without the benefit of lighting, the other obstacles in the room cannot.

GM: The spirit, though reacting slower, moves more quickly. It flies directly toward Taylar as he moves toward it.

GM: With the luck on his side, Taylar not only resists the Spirit's attempt to chill him, he is able to harm it with heat, though he feels his manipulation of thermal Way should have been more damaging. The glow of the spirit flickers, but it appears to be unhindered in his movement toward Raven Elk.

GM: Vittero reaches up and illuminates the globe near him. The other globes will begin to follow suit about 1 second apart, each. The Angry Spirit can still be seen as a smoky apparition even in the light.

In the fractions of a second when the spirit passes through Taylar, Maka notices that the manipulation of thermal Way seems to have had some effect on the creature. He thinks to himself,
~Fire is sacred, for it burns not only wood, flesh, and feathers, but frees the spirit from the body. Fire cleanses the earth by burning things away to ash, but its power and purity can touch the place of spirits as well, where it is capable of purging evil thoughts and malevolent feelings. Therefore, spirits who thrive on anger and hate should fear the fire, for they know it shall cleanse them, forever!~

Maka will attempt to heat the creature, paranormally.

GM: The Spirit makes an immediate change of direction heading straight for Vittero, unimpeded by table, chairs, or other people in its movement.

Mostly out of reflex, Vittero will attempt to shock the spirit as it reaches him. He will also take a step toward it, despite his instinctual reservations.
