Day 259: Investigating the Bedroom

Taylar will light the globes and search the room, the bed, under the rug, around the braziers and pillars, and behind the tapestries. He will check the quality of the bed furnishings.

After seeing where they have found themselves, Raven Elk... inspects each tapestry in detail.

Taylar notes that the globes in the room light in the same manner as the others previously discovered, once one is illuminated, the others follow suit about 1 second apart. The rug is very thick and tightly woven wool. It is decorated with a simple pattern. The brazers contain nothing but dust, now, but still exhibit there pattern of use.

There is nothing significant under the rug or behind the tapestries. Like the rug, Raven Elk notes that the tapestries are tightly woven wool, only decorated with simple patterns. It appears that the extra furnishing of the room were designed to insulate the room during its occupation to help hold the warmth generated by the brazers.

This room is an exploratory disappointment for adventurous youths.

After a cursory look, Vittero takes up a position opposite Adi to keep watch, as well.

GM: While he is looking and listening to keep a wary guard, it occurs to Adisakti that he may be able to extend his extra-sensory perception for potential threats.

Peering in the door to the right of the entry, which is the one that the spirit passed through, the room appears to be utilitarian, possibly even a kitchen. ​

Taylar says, "Let's check out the room that the spirit came from next."

Day 259: Moving to the Kitchen

Taylar says, "Let's check out the room that the spirit came from next."

Adi looks at Taylar and says “Hold on a second.” He raises his hand to his mouth and kisses his palm, then holds his arm up at an angle, with three fingers extended, spits on the ground three times, then spins in place while saying “boogidy woogidy”, also three times. When he stops, he smiles and winks at Raven, then gives Taylar a stern look. “I’m ready, let’s go.”

Vittero -
Seeing his friend's ridiculous display, Vittero is well aware that Adi is, as usual, vying for some attention. He rolls his eyes and shakes his head, but despite better desire, he lacks the necessary discipline to refrain.
"Yea, we should move out of this small room. I think the stale air in here is starting to get to Adi."

He laughs in good-natured manner.

GM: Leaving what was obviously the bedroom of this keep's previous owner, the crew moves back through the dining area and into the utilitarian room to the east. This room was most definitely a kitchen. Along the south wall, to the right of the entry door, there is a stone oven bored into the wall and a separate fire pit that was also used for cooking. There are vent ports for each, which smell of pigeons. The center of the room is occupied by a tall wooden table. The are shelves still occupied with earthen ware, wooden utensils, dry-rotted fabric, and some metal utensils. There are two plain tapestries separated by about a pace on the east wall and two more on the north wall in the same formation.

Taylar puts a hand on Adi's shoulder and says, "If you can't think of anything else to do, help me look for some recipes. These people might have held culinary secrets the likes of which our tongues have never tasted." Taylar searches the kitchen.

Day 259: Searching the Kitchen

Vittero helps Taylar and Adi search the kitchen, manipulating Way to illuminate the glass globes within.

GM: The stomachs of Taylar and Adisakti are very disappointed by all findings, well almost. Though some parchment, maybe it was parchment, was found in a small box, any chance of its use has long since disintegrated. Unexpectedly, some sealed clay jars still contain spices that emit an aroma after being opened, indicating that they are likely still usable even after all the years. The jars had been sealed with wax. While Taylar and Adi rummage through the shelves contents, Vittero looks at the stone oven, firepit, and tapestries. The bored chimneys evidently merge and bits of down are located in the old oven. It appears that, in addition to nesting in the entry room, pigeons have also occupied to outlet of the chimneys. Each of the four tapestries seem to have been hung to overtly conceal entrances to four other rooms.

Raven Elk checks the last door that hasn't been opened, but not before touching his spear point, using Way, and saying: "Light".

He then tests the handle to see if it will open as readily as the others and thrusts the lit spear point in to see what there is to see within this chamber.
