So - I just got my first paycheck of the "summer" (meaning, I'm working full time b/c I'm not in school). As such, I worked nearly double my normal hours.
However, when I got my check, I realized that my federal withholding went from about .03% (like normal during the school year) to about .07%.
So, while I usually lose around $15.00 (approx $400 paycheck), I have lost $57 (approx $800) on my check today.
Is this weird? Or does the Federal Withholding % increase and decrease with the amount of money you bring in?
