Unconcious (Save or Damage ends). Think Mean.

What could your party do to an unconcious enemy (if damage wakes them)?

-Take their impliment/weapon.
-Shackle them.
-Drench them in oil. (for use with a torch later)
-Stuff them inside a Bag of Holding/Haversack.
-Toss them into a pit.
-Teleport them out over water (if you're a good swimmer and they arn't).

Others? Which powers would be best to unleash?

First: By default, damage does not awaken them. It only wakes them if the unconsciousness was due to a power that specifies that damage awakens them. For example, if they are unconscious from the sleep spell you can do all that and more...

So the answer depends on WHY they are unconscious.

If they are merely asleep, taking their weapon and teleporting them would work but anything more would likely awaken them.

If they are knocked out or drugged I would probably allow any of the others to work as well.

You're in combat with a couple of lackies around and someone looses a power on the BBEG that states (save or taking damage ends), he/it may wake soon...what can the party do that would drop the GM's jaw?

The point is you're fighting a big badbutted boss, and the first damage you do will wake him, at which point he will attempt to kill you. What OTHER actions could you & your teammates do to put him at a disadvantage when he wakes?

Also what powers would be best to coup de grace with?

If you're going to coup de grace, use the powers that have the best chance of actually dealing damage equal to the critter's bloodied value. Your highest damage powers.

If you've only got one chance then I strongly recommend not dealing damage until you've got a good set up.
Your suggestions are all good ones. But if you're looking to shock your DM then you'll need to combine several different actions into a synergystic whole, or you'll need some really nifty circumstances around.

Launching the target into orbit, throwing him into lava (especially if your DM is using Fire and Brimstone!), trapping one that needs to breathe in an airless void, or similar environmental manipulation is your best option if you don't want a prisoner.

If you want to make the DM go "WOW!" then you need to think like a DM that just captured the party. Get creatively evil, without killing them in their sleep.

Please provide a situation where drenching someone in oil or shackling him would not wake him while dealing damage would. All powers i have seen up to now (i may very well have missed some, mind you) do not indicate that dealing damage wakes someone up while not dealing damage means the victim remains unconscious. Usually, the powers work with a "save ends" trigger, nothing more.

Knockout, Rogue 9:
Hit: 2[W] + Dexterity modifier damage, and the target is knocked unconscious (save ends). If the unconscious target takes any damage, it is no longer unconscious.

Garrote Grip, Rogue 15:
Sustain Minor: Sustain the grab for another round. The third time you sustain the grab after using this power, the target falls unconscious. If an unconscious target takes any damage, it is no longer unconscious.

If the foe doesn't get a save to wake up, the best thing you can do is leave them until the end of the combat and then deal with them. At that point anything that isn't a solo is going to be in dire trouble no matter what you do.

If they're a solo, then binding them somehow is probably a good idea. If they're unintelligent, you could always gate them to somewhere occupied by people you don't like.

The best power to use on an unconscious foe is certainly assassin's point, preferably with a vicious rapier. It will do 192 + 2 x bonuses + 2 x weapon crit bonuses (probably 12d12) plus any other oddness you have, like hunter's mark or the bugbear thing. Without those, you're looking at around 300 damage. Since it's a CDG, any foe who's bloodied value is less than that dies outright. DMs don't fret too much though - it's possible that an equal level elite could potentially be one-shot (although it's actually being two-shot: there was whatever caused the unconscious condition in the first place), but there's no way that this will take out a solo, who will typically have a bloodied value of 2 to 3 times that number.

Just curious if any DMs out there allow a player to walk up to an NPC that is sleeping and just slit their throat for a instant kill? Seems to me if we are thinking realistically and that NPC has been knocked out or put to sleep by a spell, they aren't defending themselves and it could easily be done. Thoughts? Comments?
