Using MS OneNote

This also makes me re-think the use of NOTE FLAGS, if I created a note flag for each section, I could be creating a index listing as I go, using the note flat as a marker to section! :\

Looking at this makes me think I would be better setting my tabs as sections and my sections as tabs. :\

Hmm... Maybe a mix of both. I'm thinking that Organizations, Places, etc. could be Folders. That would mirror the "Monsters" Folders(which looks like the "NPCs" section I set up). House Rules makes the most sense as a Folders. And I think "My World" is implied.

After looking at your first post, I did

MY WORLD
-->States
-->Cities
-->Locales (for dungeons, temples, castles, etc.)

Looking at your new thoughts, I do rather like:

STATES
--> Kale
......> Politics
......> Natural Resources
......> Philosophy and Religion
-->Provic
......> Politics
......> Natural Resources
......> Philosophy and Religion
-->Lithselinori
......> Politics
......> Natural Resources
......> Philosophy and Religion
CITIES
-->Candar
-->Celinithin
-->Provic
LOCALES
-->Temple of Cylerin in Candar
-->Ruins of R'Colth
-->Caverns Under Castle Blackfire

With more specifics on each page underneathe. That would make it possible to link to a specific city, states, or location without problem. You just couldn't link to Kale Politics. You'd have to settle for just linking to Kale and sort it out from there.

Can you create a Flag for a section? I didn't have much success in doing so.

It just is really creating a note flag named after a section, that way if your referance something else you can not it and then by doing a summary will link all flags as you have 20 undefined, it should be enough. May have to play with it.

Has anyone 'shared' their notes? One of the items about Onenote is Net Meeting is built in and you can view and edit notes as part of that, has any one tried it?

I just acquired the OneNote program. Have you folks figured out any new things?

I am also looking at a Wiki file for a similar effect, in fact, having more luck with it.

Ease of use is the biggest item so far for me, click and type, drag and drop.

Yup. I did a lot of DM-work this weekend and just used One Note to casually organize my thoughts, including checking off a to-do list.
