Valentines, who's doing what?

I'm going to be making dinner for her Friday night and then we're going to the symphony. Afterwards, use your imagination. :)

Saturday my gf and I are meeting up with a friend of mine and his gf for a double date and possibly a movie. Then more imagination stuff.

Unfortunately money is tight right now (though that will be changing soon, I hope), so I can't really gift her like I would like to. On the other hand, I do presenty-type stuff throughout the year, so I'm not particularly worried. After all, you don't need a holiday to tell you when to do something sweet for the one you love, even if it's something simple like a quiet evening at home, a hand-made dinner of his/her favorite food, or giving them a back massage.

I plan to be hanging out with the woman I pursued for 15 years... (Pursued, at least, until my perfect image of her was shattered, and I met the real person....)

Kind of pathetic that she's the one I'll be hanging out with on Valentine's Day (or any other day, when I would rather have a girlfriend...). Oh well...

wallowing in self pity over yet another valetine's day spent utterly alone.

Welcome to my world :D

Plus, I'll also be having secret cynical thoughts about the schumcks who fell for the card company's marketting ploys. Suckas. :p

Actually, I've never bought a card for Valentine's :)
I always make them for her myself. Last year I made her a Valentine's day "card" that was actually a tri-fold brochure (full bleed on cardstock, looked very nice). She had gotten her driver's license the day before Valentine's, since she had always lived in big cities where she didn't need to drive until she moved here. Anyway, I combined both events in a card filled with lots of fine print ;). Anyway, here's the card:

I just don't know how to handle it.

It's easy. Just remember that you're a goddess who deserves to be worshiped. ;)

I keep telling her that, but she doesn't seem to believe me. She also doesn't believe me when I call her cute or beautiful.

Oh well, guess I'll just have to keep trying...

Oh... and it looks like we'll be gaming on Valentines Day.

I'll be showering my woman in jewels. :)

It's our 4 year anniversary AND valentines day.

So, it's jewels, dinner, and time with each other...

:D
