VENTURE 4TH - Scourge of the Rat-Men

Hi Henry,

I have this in my virtual hands right now. Its a 37 page pdf. It works with the 4th edition rules. It is not systemless.

What do you want to know about it?

Would you mind giving us some impressions? I just purchased a print copy.

In brief its a 36 page adventure for 4th edition with done outside the GSL.

Full statblocks for monsters are included in the adventure.

It is set in the small town of Edgepoint and features a two level dungeon that is home to Rat-men (think skaven).

There are two location tiles for specific encounters and two generic tiles for the dungeon.

We plan to play the adventure on Wednesday night or Thursday, so I should be able to report more after that. We are taking in:

Tiefling Warlock, Gnome Warlord, Dwarf Fighter, Elven Cleric

I adjusted encounters to be appropriate for 4 characters as the module uses the 5 character default.

Hopefully the print copy arrives this week, but so far so good. I'm planning on running it as the kick-off to our 4E campaign in two weeks.

That's the stuff I was looking for. I was mainly seeing how the issue of copyrights were addressed, and the details about the stat blocks, terminology used, etc. was what I was looking for.

I watch Kenzer, Goodman, and Adamant with bated breath.
