If character with said feat succeeds on her charisma check and then within the 24 hours turns and attacks said vermin. Will the vermin cease yielding to her and thus attack her as per a charm spell?

Where is this feat come from?

I would assume that yes, the vermin would turn and attack, much like a charm spell. More likely though, the vermin would attack once out of defense, and then run. Bite and flee, sting and flee, that type of thing.

The feat is from the Book of Vile Darkness, p. 50.

The feat is usable every time a vermin creature tries to attack the "Vermin Friend". So even if your scenario were about to happen, the "Vermin Friend" just may make another Charisma check to avoid been attacked. They are just mindless "bugs". They wont remember your "betrayal". On the other hand, why would a "Vermin Friend" attack such lovely and cute critters ;) in the first place?

Kind regards
