(we saw that awesome ad in Dragon magazine with Magnetor in it and were basically drooling over the dea of playing it).
I am not alone!
V&V was not the first supers RPG I ever played; that was
Champions. However, I was about 12 when I got it, and it was a lot easier for me to make PCs and run games than
Champions. Rolling up random powers and trying to make sense of the combos was half the fun! V&V provided some of the best games of my early gamer days.
(I only wish that it didn't take until 1997 for me to find the errata for the carrying capacity formula! That scewed us up so many times.

You know, I remember going to a comic con here in Chicago back around '82 or '83, and my friend and I stopped at a table in the dealer's hall with a bunch of V&V modules. Some guy was scribbling away behind it.
Me: "Dude, V&V!"
Friend: "Cool."
Me: "Man, I love the art in these. Jeff Dee is awesome."
Friend: "Yeah!"
Me: "So, you want to go blah, blah..."
...and we walked away. It wasn't until years later that I thought about that day, and realized that we were standing right in front of Mr. Dee.

I have yet to forgive myself.
Anyway, it's nice to see you here, Mr. Dee. Let me add my voice to the chorus of long-time fans. I drew a lot in school, and my last name begins with a "D", so I even used to sign my art like you did, e.g., "•D• '85".
