W1: Blacklily Violence (Completed!) [Rae Judging]

Solange HP: 9/9 AC: 13

OOC: Actualy, the creature appears wherever I want it to in range of the spell, so it can appear in front of an enemy if one is 25' from me.

The celestial badger coalesces in front of Carson and attacks him (That's the one attacking cludge?) full on.

OOC: 2 claws +4 melee (1d2+1) and bite -1 melee (1d3+1) on a full attack.
Badger Claw 1 (1d20+4=18, 1d2+1=3)
Badger Claw 2 (1d20+4=20, 1d2+1=3)
Badger Bite (1d20-1=5, 1d3+1=2)

Of that does not drop Carson, Solange approaches him and tries to lay her hands on him. "May Zephos guide you"

OOC: Repose domain ability. Touch attack, if he has 1d6 HP left or less, he dies. Solange's Repose touch attack (1d20+1=15, 1d6=4)

If he's down already, she'll find another rogue and wack him with her quarterstaff (use the same roll, just add 1 to the damage)

Conuld is pleased with the effect of his very first casting in anger, but tries not to let it go to his head. He follows up by casting Mage Armor on himself.
[sblock=Wik] Shouldn't the blindness effect of Color Spray last only for 1d4 rounds? and shouldn't they be stunned and unable to take actions?[/sblock]

Yeah. I screwed up on that. Don't wanna retcon it, though. The man in the doorway, while blind, will have the game abilities of being unconscious. As for the mage... he's still stumbling down the street.

OOC - Okay... Just in case it matters, there's no Blacklily still standing in the front doorway, then? Does the woman outside at the window have partial cover?

Addendum - actually, I've been thinking about this. Pretty much casting Color Spray once a day is Conuld's schtick. He picks the spell because it has the effects it does, and if we go with what was posted above, Conuld's adventuring career (assuming he survives W1) will be based on an OOG mistake, with results that IG shouldn't have occurred. I honestly feel that'll take away some of the interest I have in the character.
I respectfully but firmly ask that we DO retcon to have the correct effect (which I assume means both men are blinded and stunned for 4 rounds (taking the first die of each of their rolls) and then stunned only for 1 further round, and are still standing in the doorway, or that the rogue is unconscious for 7, then blind and stunned for another 1d4). I realise this is a less favourable result for the Group of Seven than having the mage run off, but as of now it hasn't really had much of an effect on anyone's subsequent actions (Saithnar might have missed someone else with his crossbow bolt).

OOC: in light of this back and forth retcon thingie.. I'll wait to post my round 2 actions as it might become effected if I do... I plan to send rathan into melee... as it seems only cludge is going that direction and those odds I jus dun like heh... so once it's resolved (and I get back from work tonight) I'll post my round 2 action :)

Yeah, the whole problem comes back to my house rules with Color Spray, and forgetting those rules were, um, "house" rules. I guess we *can* retcon things... but that's just me admitting I'm wrong. ;)

In that case, The rogue is now unconscious in the doorway, and the mage managed to take a few steps away before flopping onto the ground, still cursing. I'd also like to point out, right now, that this is why I hate Color Spray. :)

Sorry about the whole mixup. Wasn't trying to steal Conuld's glory.

---ROUND TW0---

Saithnar pulls of a shot at the blind rogue in the doorway, still thrashing on the floor and grabbing his eyes. The bolt misses.

Conuld, grinning to himself at his success, quickly protects himself with a Mage Armour Spell.

The woman in the kitchen grins at Pendrake, holding her blade high in the air before she lets loose a feral scream and charges.

Valera's Attack Roll (1d20+1=8)

Pendrake adeptly parries the blow, sending her blade flying into some pots and pans lying on the nearby counter. They fall to the ground with a metallic clatter that fills the small space.

The woman in the window aims a shot at Saithnar once more, a determined look on her face.

Oresia's Attack Roll, Round Two (1d20+4=12)

The shot once again is deflected by Saithnar's field of force - his luck seems to be holding tonight.

***RATHAN'S ACTION HERE*** :D

Solange's badger appears right behind Carson. He turns at the last moment, and is just barely able to say "What the...?" before the furious creature claws out the back of Carson's legs. The rogue screams, falling to one knee, but is still very much in the game. Solange quickly closes the combat, and touches Carson on the shoulder. His whole face stiffens.

"oh no..." he whispers, before his heart stops and he falls to the ground, lifeless.

Cludge, realizing he no longer has a target, steps up to the inert rogue in the doorway, getting ready to deliver a knockout blow (whether it's lethal or not, only time will tell)

The Mage, still near the door, is grabbing his eyes, kicking his feet. His hat has fallen off, and lies discarded in the street. His hair is long and black, and obviously has not been washed in some time.

Pendrake makes his counter-attack against the woman in the kitchen. She is able to deftly step back, and Pendrake's morning star goes wild, digging itself in a chopping board. He has to take a second swing at the rogue to dislodge the chopping board from one of the studs on his weapon; when he does, the board goes flying and knocks some spoons and tongs out of a ceramic urn.

Tommy takes careful aim at the archer, and fires a bolt. Even though she has cover from the window frame, Tommy's bolt strikes her easily, biting square into her chest. She lets loose a scream, dropping her crossbow to the ground. Grabbing her chest, she looks in horror as blood blossoms into her hands. She falls to both knees, and collapses onto the cobblestones.

Tommy's Crossbow Roll, round two (1d20+2=21)
Tommy's Crossbow Crit Confirm, round two (1d20+2=19)
Tommy's Crossbow Damage, Round Two (2d8=7)

OOC: Since so much has changed, I'll let Phoenix change Saithnar's action.

The remaining rogues consist of the mage (currently stunned near the doorway), the blinded and unconscious rogue in the doorway, and the fully-swinging rogue fighting Pendrake in the kitchen.

You guys are really tearing through 'em. Awesome.

Sometimes the gods test people by letting them miss their opponant and they(the gods) watch the poor sap just to see what kind of metel he or she is made of....

Pendrake is not deterred form his desire to clear a path for his fellow investigators out the back...and this blasted blacklily witch is not moving away, so he will try once again to convincer her to leave....

Attack: Mace 1d20+4, damage:d8 +3 (1d20+4=20)

(OOC:I think i might actually hit something here...)

damage: d8+3 (strength +3)
damage roll (1d8+3=11)

New round 2: "Good shot!" Saithnar compliments Tommy. Seeing the woman that was firing at him fall, and more importantly, seeing the sparkle and shine of something around her neck, Saithnar rises to move out through the doorway into the street. (This is assuming I can get past Cludge and the unconscious rogue which I didn't think would be much trouble.) Taking point blank aim at the mage with one finger, Saithnar unleashes a ray of cold to freeze the man where he lies.

Energy ray (cold) ranged touch attack and damage (1d20+1=12, 1d6+1=7)
OOC/Round 3: Once the mage is dealt with, Saithnar will check the female to make sure she's dead and if so, start checking her for shiny jewelry. If the mage isn't down for the count, I'll try something else next round.

Round 2: HP=8/8, PP= 2/5

(Round 3)
Protected by Mage Armor, Conuld pops up from behind the shelter of his table, and looks around for an opponent. Finding none in the vicinity, he strides towards the door. "Well done, Saithnar," he says, "but do not kill the mage. Tommy and I will wish to have words with him, if possible. They called him Riffer, did they not?" He swings his staff at the unconscious rogue. "And stay down!" he says, but the blow is uncoordinated.

OOC - attack 1d20+4=7; damage 1d6=2 If Rathan or Cludge or someone has dealt with this rogue during round 2 already, Conuld will just head out the door, with crossbow readied, to check on the woman.

Ooc: woot! Man, somebody nerf wizards with crossbows, quick! :)

I doubt combat will last long enough to get to Tommy's initiative again, but if it does, he'll shoot the nearest enemy who presents a threat to the party.
