W1: Blacklily Violence (Completed!) [Rae Judging]

Init Roll (1d20+0=19)

Rathan also goes for cover.... of course the blacklillys actions would come first... but when he was given his time he overturns a table and tries to put the body he had picked up (assuming he got the blacklilly up off the ground) down behind the table and takes cover himself for now.....

[sblock=Combat Info, Actions, OOC] Init 19, AC: 16 (Touch:10 FF:16) HP's: 10
Rathan will take cover behind a turned over table if there is one near him if not he'll turn one over and set the body I was supposed to pick up down behind it and take cover himself.... if I have time I'll draw my mace and shield while covered as well.... if not it'll have to wait till next round... btw Wik.. did I have the str to pick the body up?[/sblock]

OOC: this is just about pitiful, if not painful:

Init: +6 (dex: +2, Imp init: +4) (1d20+6=8)

pendrake is still trying to under stand the local language at the sound of the cry...having finally decipered the message he turns his body toward the direction of the warning, rasies the shield and procedes pull his morning starr (OOC: drat! i had him peace bond the sword!!)

Blacklilie's Initiatives:
Oresia's Initiative (1d20+2=20)
Carson's Initiative (1d20+2=11)
Riffer's Initiative (1d20+5=12)
Valera's Initiative (1d20+2=22)
Arkad's Initiative (1d20+2=5)

***SURPRISE ROUND***
Things do not look good. The rogue in the window pulls off a shot with her crossbow, aiming it straight at Saithnar. He looks in her eyes as she pulls the trigger coldly. Before the crossbow bolt smashes the window into shards of icy glass, he catches a gleam of gaudy jewelry around her neck catching the moonlight.

Oresia's Attack Roll, round one (1d20+4=11)

The bolt would have stuck Saithnar... luckily, his inertial armour was still active, and the bolt bounces off the shield harmlessly, before burying itself in a distant wooden wall.

The bartender lets out a cry. "Blacklilies!" and runs for the kitchen... before letting out a shriek that is quickly cut short.

The door to the tavern bursts open, revealing two men. The first man, tall and tough looking, with a vicious-looking cutlass in his hands, sneers at the inhabitants of the bar. The second wears black robes and has a pointed felt cap upon his head, a blacklily scarf wrapped around his mouth. The first man seems similar to the one that was spotted earlier on Merchant's Avenue. "Here they are, Riffer."

"Kill them!" The second says, and begins to wave his his hands in the air. He points at Pendrake, and smiles. "Friend, would you be so kind as to check the back door, to secure an escape for your companions?" he says.

[sblock=Pendrake]You are being Charmed. I made your save for you, in the interests of saving time. You failed, and as such, Pendrake decides to run to the kitchen to help his party members "escape" the blacklily attack.

Pendrake's Will Save (1d20=9)
[/sblock]

The rogue standing next to Riffer rushes into the room, and charges the dwarf. "Riffer says you die, dwarf! And riffer is more boss than the Arimae whelp!" He stabs forward with his vicious cutlass.

Carson's Attack Roll (1d20+1=3)

Cludge is easily able to knock the blade aside, though, and the rogue curses loudly.

Finally, another rogue moves between Riffer and the doorway, a blade readied to swipe at anyone that gets close.

Saithnar is able to fire a bolt of energy at this rogue, although the shot goes wild - the Rogue dodges behind the cover of the wall, and the bolt mearly sizzles the doorframe.

***ROUND ONE***

Combat Order:
23 - Conuld
22 - Valera
20 - Oresia
19 - Rathan
18 - Solange
16 - Cludge
12 - Riffer
11 - Carson
8 - Pendrake
6 - Tommy
5 - Arkad
3 - Saithnar

Conuld is able to crouch behind a table and get a good angle on the doorway. Coloured streams of light shoot from his fingers, hitting the two rogues standing in the doorway.

Riffer's Will Save (1d20+4=5)
Arkad's Will Save (1d20+3=9)
Riffer's/Arkad's Blindness duration (2d4=8, 2d4=7)

The attack does amazingly well. The mage grabs his eyes and screams, while the rogue yells out "I'm blind! I'm blind!" loudly.

The crossbow-wielding woman standing out in the street reloads her crossbow and fires again at Saithnar.

Oresia's Second Attack (1d20+4=11)

Again, the shot misses, the bolt bouncing off a mug with a loud "ping!".

Rathan, carrying a Blacklily body, hides behind a table and uses it as cover as the room erupts into Blacklily Violence.

Solange starts casting her spell. Angelic motes of light dance around her as she waves her hands, and a celestial creature begins to coalesce out of the air in front of her.

Cludge swings at the Blacklily in front of him (I assume?).

Cludge's First Attack (1d20+6=8)

The rogue is able to parry the swing, and he grins evilly. "May the last thing you see be the face of Carson the Killer!" He is able to swing at Cludge,

Carson's Round One Attack (1d20+1=20)
Carson's Critical Confirm (1d20+1=14)
Carson's Round One Damage (1d6+1=4)

His slice connects skillfully, and leaves a ribbon of blood on Cludge's forearm, which soon begins to seep into his clothes.

The mage curses loudly, yelling at the air "You bastards! You bastards!" before running blindly down the street, stumbling.

Pendrake, under the influence of a charm spell, runs into the kitchen, hoping to secure the exit for his companions. Instead, he comes upon another woman, with a blacklily scarf over her mouth, slitting the throat of the bartender with a slender blade. She looks up at Pendrake's approach and grins. "If you want to run... you'll have to go through me." Pendrake draws his weapon. The mage said nothing about not hurting other blacklilies...

Tommy is able to duck behind a wooden pillar and cast a protection spell upon himself.

The rogue standing in the doorway, also blinded, swings at the air in front of him, waiting the inevitable attack.

SAITHNAR can get an action on round one (and maybe you should list your round two action?)

***END OF ROUND ONE***

Conuld is pleased with the effect of his very first casting in anger, but tries not to let it go to his head. He follows up by casting Mage Armor on himself.
[sblock=Wik] Shouldn't the blindness effect of Color Spray last only for 1d4 rounds? and shouldn't they be stunned and unable to take actions?[/sblock]

OOC: Tommy will shoot his crossbow (I'm assuming he has it in hand and loaded from the previous fight) at the woman firing through the window, if he has line of sight. If not, he'll shoot the rogue attacking Cludge (Carson?).

"krijg uit mijn manierheks," says pendrake trying to clear the path for his friends, "of mijn foelie zal maïsmeelpap van uw beenderen maken!"
(OOC: this cant be good...)
morning star +4 (fighter lev 1:bab +1, str +3)damage: d8+3 (1d20+4=12)
translation:
get out of my way witch
or my mace will make mush of your bones

OOC: i don't know if i am allowed to do this or if i am required to do this, but all translations are in nederlands courtesy of altavista web sight, babel fish translator...just so that the record is strait!

OOC - well, I have no problem with it. It's better than Conuld's cod-Draconic from the Draconomicon lexicon! :p Also, "maïsmeelpap" - that's just a beautiful word that I'm better off for having heard.

Round 1: Saithnar raises an eyebrow at how badly he missed with his energy ray. But, it was his first time using it in combat. Perhaps he would do better with his crossbow. Taking careful aim at the blind rogue, he fires off a bolt...

Crossbow Atk and Dmg (1d20+1=5, 1d8+1=8)
But alas, his aim is even poorer with the crossbow....

Round 2: Deciding to take on the most threatening one directly, Saithnar changes targets and aims for the woman firing at him from outside...

Crossbow Atk and Dmg (1d20+1=11, 1d8=8)
"Again!? By the gods, I tire of this!" Saithnar grumbles at his rotten luck.

Round 2: HP= 8/8; PP=3/5
