W1: Blacklily Violence (Completed!) [Rae Judging]

"If you want to slit my throat, do it. Go ahead. You speak of pollution, well take some upon yourself." listening to Tommy, he nods. "You'd do well to listen to your friend. I lead you to the necklace, you let me go, and I flee. Fallon, maybe. Because he's right... the Blacklilies are dead."
"Not all of them, not yet. It seems my friends are more trusting than I, Riffer. It's your lucky day. Get him to his feet; we can talk while we move." Conuld throws Riffer's spell component pouch into a corner of the room. "So, who has the necklace? Where do we find it?" Conuld heads for the back door of the tavern.

OOC - incidentally, is Pendrake happy with our mistreatment of his best friend?

OOC: Pendrake's fine. Charm wore off when Riffer was knocked out, I'd say.

Riffer awkwardly gets to his feet. "There's no guards on it, or anything. A trap, that's it. Just a little needle trap - Carson set it up. I have no clue how to bypass it. It's... well, it'd be hard to explain. Follow me. And can I have my hat, please?"

"You are very fond of that hat. I am not sure it suits you. Perhaps it will suit me better, or my sensible friend here. Well, if that's all you have to say, I trust you will have no objection if we gag you again. And do try to remember, Riffer, there are a lot of crossbows at hand's reach, and I at least have no patience for betrayal."

Conuld speaks to Solange in a strange tongue that sounds like crystal bells chiming, incongruous in their present surroundings: "Expect betrayal from the evildoer. He leads us into peril." He looks uncertain. "You understand that, right?"
OOC: Celestial

"Oh, good," says Conuld. "I am not very proficient in that language. It does not fit well with my tongue, I am afraid. Cludge, Pendrake, can one of you put a loop of rope round Riffer's middle and keep tight hold of the other end? Ah, Riffer, you are certainly imperturbable, I will grant you that. I find myself hoping you do come out of this safe and well."

Cludge Slatefist

Cludge eyes Riffer menacingly. Course, I'd be glad ta hang onto the blackguard, he says. Don't suggest ya try to be runnin' away now, friend, he says. I may not be a runner, but I fancy ye'd no get to far with a throwin' axe in yer back.

OOC: again... sorry all.. busy weekend and start to the week :/

Rathan is at a bit of a loss on what to do... apparently senseless killing was in the cards this night as he looked about to the carnage.... his head shakes softly from side to side as he looks back to the rest with him with almost a sad look.... and then moved to rather the dead as best he could.... he could not just let them lay in the street.... he needed to as least lay them inside the tavern and cover them with table cloths to give them their last respects.... "If we can avoid it my friends... no more killing this night please?... enough blood has been shed.." the saddened priest utters as he pulls the last cloth over the dead blacklillies bodies......

"I asked the first two to surrender; and it was Riffer who came here saying 'Kill them'" replies Conuld. "He reaps no more than he has sown."

OOC - general reminder for the party: besides Riffer, two of the Blacklilies here are unconscious but stable (and tied up, I think). We really should stow them somewhere safe, so there is no chance of having to face them again, ideally without letting Riffer see our merciful side. :]
