Unfortunatly, caffeen (in Coke), is a diuretic, meaning it'll make you more dehydrated. Almost a good saying though.

See, the problem with that line of reasoning is that more water goes into your system with the coke than the caffeen negates. I know several people who manage quite fine drinking nothing but coke.

Not that that wont catch up with them quickly, but...

I am one who believes in using Coke strictly for medicinal purposes... when I have the stomach flu, Coke works great to clean out my system... it eats away ANYTHING that might be in there.

Of course, I had a buddy who burned a hand severely when I was over in Europe (we're talking blisters covering the entire hand within one minute of the burn) - and he suggested that if Coke was such great medicine, he could just soak his hand in a tub of Coke for an hour and he'd be good.

Then again, I also use McDonald's cheeseburgers for medicinal purposes only - they coat your throat with such a thick layer of grease, they're great for stopping heartburn... the acid comes up, slides back down, and never does manage to eat through the grease to hurt your throat. I "take two" (cheeseburgers) and worry about it in the morning when I get heartburn. Works like a charm.

And the only time I partake of Coke or McDonald's cheeseburgers is for these medicinal purposes.

You think I'm joking... I'm serious.

Oh, and I'm a home-brewed root beer guy myself. A little dry ice from time to time, but usually in a soda spritzer with CO2 cartridges.

The real qustion is:

How much orange juice you anf the rest of the coke lovers drink each day, as opposed to how much coke?

Orange juice MAY have lower PH (i dont know how much it is), but a person who drinks nothig but coke shouldnt be worried about it.
