Wall of Thorns - Overpowered? How to balance...

I think 4E should be written in both common language and a (pseudo) computer programming language of choice. That way, we can refer to the more precise syntax when the common language is confusing :D.

If will attack(succeeds){
Damage(4d6+21)
Blind(infinite)}
Else{
Damage(FLOOR((4d6+21)/2))
Blind(1 round)}

Of course, that will only fuel cries that D&D is turning into a video game etc. etc. etc. :\

I have no argument with your analysis of the game balance of the spell. But I was arguing rules interpretation, not game design, in that post.
