The ogres face you nervously. You can feel what tension builds: at once the look at you with obvious greed, but now with a tingle of doubt if they can take you.

The first one only looks at Shannyn, but the tips of her arrows seem to keep him from voicing what he seems to think. The other one-headed ogre still weighs his might club, but now he seems to weigh in the costs of hurting you, too.
Lastly, two-heads is a bit unsure, too, but it seems to be mainly due to the sheer disbelieve that someone is resisting him. The two heads look at each other and seems to come to a silent agreement.

He attempts to bellow again:"Now where is present? Maybe ya flag?"
He points to the totem Narash carries.

Narash smiles. "The present is this beautiful day, good travelling companions, and another day free of battle, free of pain, and without blood spilled." He looks serene, but he is fingering his "flag" as he speaks, clearly not intending to give it up.

After Narash spoke, the orges seem even more confused, as if the tauren talked about that the moon was made from cheese.

"I can take em", orge number three says. "No", shouts the first, then falling back to the other langauage he spoke, the one that almost hurts to hear. Two-heads answers him, but then turns back to you: "Ya will regret this"

Shooting glances at you, they begin to trot into the direction the Kodo fled.

Relaxing a bit, Tedd only mutters:"Hah, ogres ..."

Narash shakes his head. "I fear that the kodo may outsmart them in their quest. Perhaps they will spear themselves accidentally."

He tosses the halberd back over his shoulder, and sets off down the road again.

As you come closer to Barrenrim, you see some provisio fields, entirely deserted.
Most are only half ploughed, others more, others less. And not a single peon in sight...

This continues as you reach the burrows of Barrenrim. No soul shows itself, all windows and doors are barricaded, only sometimes you hear the cry of a tortured-sounding cow or goat. Although all burrows seem no more than a few month old, they are already equiped with the famous Horde building defense, making it all but impossible to approach buildings without injury.

In the middle of the village it well stands. But over it, a big rock is positioed,
sealed to its rim by a clear substance. Before it, an orc in a white robe lays sprawled, face down. Behind it is a large tree, all black and dead. You can see its leaves strewn on the floor, so you guess it is not too long since this tree died.

Just as Tedd snaps out of the dazed look at this sight, a door of a burrow is opened and an orc woman gestures you to come closer and inside.

Narash eyes the body warily, and reaches up to rub his hands across and over his face (OOC: Activating Gloves of Wolfkin, gaining scent ability). He sniffs the air curiously, seeking any non-orcish scents beyond his group. He will also study the body carefully, to see if he can determine the cause of death from this point. It is clear that there was a battle, but Narash is uncertain whether it was orcs attacking orcs, or some outside aggressor. He holds up a hand in caution. "Do you know this woman, Tedd?"

OOC: at last: so it was that f***d Mac that did not want to post

Narash, you see that the robed orc was probably killed by about half a dozen arrow wounds ... but you don't see any arrows: it looks as if they vanished after impact. When sniffing around, you notice lots of old orc trails crisscrossing around the well. Only one trail smells unusual: slimey and acidic. It comes close to the well, but somehow can't reach it, although whatever left the scent tried from different angles, it seems it was unable got get closer that 3 steps to the well.
So this scent trail leads away again, towards a burrow further away.

To your question, Tedd only says:"Seen her before. Mate of village chief."
The gestures of the orc woman become more urgenent:"Fast, Fast! Before they come back"

Kezzet, Kiero, Kosk: You were contacted by George to meet you in Barrenrim. As soon as you got here, your guides left you in this forsaken place, assuring you that Mr. George would soon arrive. Then it happened and you knew that to do something, you needed more help or else they would take you down by sheer numbers. So you waited for only a day now and it seems those others that George hired seem to have arrived: The mayor's wife noticed people coming to the well - still living as it seems - and has opened the door urging the new arrivals in:"Fast, Fast! Before they come back"
