Warcraft D&D Map 1: "The Haunting of Barrenrim"

Kiero steps outside with a snort. "You would be better off leaving those creatures alone. It is a little too late now though." She exclaims with a shake of her head.
"Greetings Narash. I could smell your stench from afar!" The look she sends towards Narash is not kind. "Well, let this be over with!"

*If we do battle, she casts Shield of Faith on Narash before the creatures reach them, if not she quickly goes inside.*

Narash looks stunned for a split second, then recovers himself. "Kiero. Did another tribe kick you out, then?" He will stay beside the door until Shannyn makes it in, then enter himself, if possible.

The jet-black, yet transluctant humanoids turn towrds you. Then, appearantly seeing Tedd, who moves close to Shannyn, they shoot all arrows upon them.* They seem to have lost all interest but that for Tedd. After shooting, they quickly float towards Tedd. They make no effort to walk, seemingly having remembered suddenly that they can fly.

"Whad'dya want?" Tedd shouts to them "Stop givin me de chills." He grabs his club. "I'll show you the way to your rest."

Narash curses, seeing the creatures turn towards Tedd. "By the Great Horned Head of Alar Thunderhoof, you'll not take him, foul creatures!" As he calls out his cry, he lowers his head, raises his halbard, and charges the black creature nearest to the Firbolg. As he runs, he calls out to Kiero, "Do you still remember how to fight, woman?"

OOC: Charge attack against whichever is nearest (that he can successfully charge) after activating rage. His attack is +12 (2d6+10) on the charge, and he has reach on that one, so he won't get right up to the critter, hopefully).

With a shake of her head, Kiero rushes over to Tedd. "Tedd, how fare you? Are you hurt?"
Her prayer to The Earth Mother is starting to form on her lips as she aproaches the guide.

OOC: If Tedd needs it, she will cast Cure Light Wounds on him, if not she will try to cast guidance on Shannyn.

//So let's take this one step after one other:
//Initiative will be rolled, but I like the fact (and IMO it will be more practical, too)
//that you post your actions, and then I will make the combat round out of it.
//I hope that's acceptable for you.

Narash rushes right towards the "shadowy" humans, seeing as they come nearer
some kind of plight in their black faces, strangely at odds with their
aggressiveness. He achives a mighty hit on the dark figure*, enough to turn its
attention from Tedd. The others stay fixiated on the furbolg.

Shannyns arrow this time not only passes though the shadow-human, but again
takes a wisp of the dark substance** that they - now being closer you can see it -
also use to generate their arrows.

***One hits Narash, after a step back, and the sting of the arrow, which vanishes
upon impact, quickly tuns into a chilling cold. Two others again hit Tedd again,
while the last one just stands there, seemingly confused.

Then, Kiero moves carefully to Tedd, avoiding the dark spirits and casts Cure
Light Wounds
on him.§ "Ah, that drives of da cold" Tedd growls, droping the club,
drawing his hunting knive after the club passes through one of the transluctant
shadows.

* hit ac 24, miss chance 94, damage 14
** hit ac 16, miss chance 73, dmg 6
*** rolls 17,8,13,1(4); 3 dmg for Narash
$ 6+3= 9 points healed. Tedd looks only a bit wounded now, their arrows have
scored far less depp wounds this round.

Narash glares at the creatures, and calls out, trying to attract their attention. "Come, fiends! Fight with Narash Foresthome!"

He brandishes his halberd menacingly, and tries to position himself so that he can strike any of the creatures that move or threaten the others.

OOC: Fighting defensively, attacking one nearby, then taking a 5' step to try and put some others within my reach, but not directly next to them, still guarding Tedd and now Kiero.

The creatures are so fixed on Tedd, that only the one facing Narash is not
attacking the forbolg. Striking again at his foe, Narash once again hits him.*
The substance of the creature gets less and less ... There is not much left of
it.

//Initiative:
//1. Narash
//2. Shannyn
//3. Creatures
//4. Kiero
//5. Kosk
//6. Tedd
