Warcraft RPG??

Bob and Mike, both of you... You guys rule. Several months ago, before the press release that this project had been licensed out to S&SS, I made it quite clear both here and on the WotC boards that I would kill (you think that's an exaggeration) for a giant FRCS-sized treatment of the Warcraft setting, something with enough crunch to play anything I wanted and enough fluff to double as a coffee-table book. I thought it was one of those "wow that'd be cool, but nothing that cool ever actually happens" things. Thanks for proving me wrong, and thanks to Bob in particular for (if it is what it sounds like) not letting it go the way of the Starcraft Alternity set. :)

Ooh, ooh, another question for either of you.... any original art from Chris or Samwise in the book? That would be awesome. :)

Yes, Samwise Didier and Chris Metzen have contributed some of the interior art. Sam also did the cover. The book's art is QUITE impressive. Some may buy the book for the art alone! :)

Hi all! My name is Bob Fitch. I am an 11-year veteran at Blizzard. I started programming back when we were doing Rock 'N' Roll Racing and I'm still here. I was the Lead Programmer for Starcraft and Brood War. I have programmed the game engines of Warcraft, War2, and War3.
Mr. Fitch, you have my most sincere congratulations and respect. Those games, in addition to being exceptional games period, are among the most stable, robust and well-programmed I've ever seen.

Thank you for not putting me through the assorted bugs, memory leaks, installation problems and crashes-right-before-completing-the-final-mission which plague modern games.

Hey Bob, good to see you!

You may also know Bob's work if you've downloaded his amazing, fantastic, steam-powered, calculating Excel spellsheets.

Any chance I can get hold of Bob's amazing, fantastic, steam-powered, calculating Excel spellsheets (provided it's free of course)? :) Much thanks in advance!

Me drooling , want now!!
Anywasy I can see this game becoming quickly an Living Warcraft game ala RPGA.

I'm wandering if there will be new prestige classes, cool items and such for to add to non-wracraft games.

You have probably noticed we slip a lot of target dates. This is why. :)
So when is the release date?
I don't know if you mean War3 Expansion or War3 the RPG since I have talked about both, but either way I think it's best if I don't discuss the release dates. Keep your eyes on the Blizzard and S&SS web sites for more information.
Hey Bob, good to see you!
Hi Eric. Long time... You getting a lot of game-playing done now that you’re not the host of these message boards? :)
Any chance I can get hold of Bob's amazing, fantastic, steam-powered, calculating Excel spellsheets (provided it's free of course)?
I think you can find them all here.

These are very old sheets. I should let you know right now I do not plan to update them.
Don’t ask if I will.

It is not an easy task to make changes to them yourself unless you’re an Excel Guru.
Don’t ask me how. :)

This is a full product complete with races, core classes, prestige classes, skills, feats, spells (almost all the spells I wrote myself  self-plug!) and much more. Buy it when it comes out! Heck, buy two copies each so you can keep one safe and use the other for gaming! (heh)
