Warforged Arcane Caster Woes

Hello!

I wish to play a warforged wu jen or wizard in an upcoming hack and slash game thats one long dungeon crawl. I dont like the spell failure chance warfoged get and I want to get rid of it somehow.

I dont want to take the the Unarmored Body feat, as I like my armored body just fine as it is thank you very much! SO I was wondering if theres a feat that allows you decrease the spell failure chance like the ones that allow warmages, hexblades and warlocks to cast in light armour etc.

Another thing I am mulling over is which arcane class to take, I like the Wu Jen and think the class has some cool spells and features but also like the apeal of playing a blaster type arcane class also.

Oh and my roleplay hook is that my warforged is a reincarnated half elf who died then was reborn as a forged.

Help? Ideas? Wisdom? Filthy tricks?

Except The OP does not want to take Unarmored Body, as stated above.

Off hand, w/out books in front of me, the Warmage has Armored Casting abilities. If you want a blaster, that is.

Talk with your DM and see if you can do an Special Ability substitution (ala PHB2 rules) to gain that Armored Mage ability that Warmages and Beguilers have. Seems easy enough to me... I would suggest losing a Familiar to gain the ability.

Not to argue with the OP, I know he doesn't want to take Unarmored Body, but I'm just not sure why. You're only giving up a +2 Armor Bonus that wouldn't have stacked with Mage Armor anyway.

As to the question though, there's no way I know of...I guess you could ask your GM to be able to take a feat that is Mithral Body which doesn't provide more armor, but rather reduces the weight and encumbrance of your existing armor. So, you'd keep your +2 armor and lose the 5% arcane spell failure.

However, considering that takes armor up the spot where magical Robes would go...I'd take unarmored body if I were you. YMMV
