D&D (2024) Warlock cantrips

I really do not see the source of the confusion,
"A warlock cantrip being a cantrip a warlock can take" makes sense in itself, is combined with the devs saying there are ways to make multi deals with diffrent beings (and hearing that as having multi pacts) and combineing them with it not being a big power boost over taking any other cantrips...

I really do not see the source of the confusion, unless people only skimmed the document.
The confused bit for me came as a mix of the fact that they switched form class feature to cantrip and the game designers telling us the intent that you might make more then one deal.
The confusion set in when the DM didn’t come online to talk about the packet for the last few days but read it said they would run then when I asked they looked and didn’t see an obvious clear answer
It got worse when one of the other players took the power gaming stance of “are they more powerful then other cantrips” and came up with no they are not.

The question has already been answered. It’s in the text, and in my above post I prove that.
By the way here is the build for our play test.

Again 5 of us playtestung could not come up with that answer
Well given there's a lot of errata questions already answered for 2014 5E that are answered in the book (and more that aren't, but that isn't the point), I'm used to people reading clear rules and getting confused. It happens me to me too (happened with the new Bard packet actually, I was confused about inspiration changes!). Don't know what else to tell you!

EDIT: Actually it happened to me with the new Wizard spells this packet too. It took me like a solid 12 hours to really understand modify -> create -> scribe spell lol

By defualt thing that require hours of reading and rereading and thinking about are not “clear”

No, it was a personal hangup, which happens with rules. Not everyone reads everything the same, no matter how clear it is. Let's not mix up a correlation for causation!

Cantrips. You know two cantrips of your choice from the Arcane spell list. Rather than choosing, you may start with Chill Touch and Prestidigitation. Whenever you gain a Warlock level, you can replace one of your cantrips with another Arcane cantrip of your choice.
