Warrior Strategy Guide

I found them useless filler in Dragon, i'll not buy them as pdf, but i might not be the target audience. Can someone explain their attraction or use?

I see a few ways they could be useful.

As a time pressed GM, if I wanted a fully statted out PrC that requires some multi-classing, it's a great time saver.

As a new player who might not know the optimial way to get into a PrC as soon as possible, it's be a time saver.

Same problem as the Hero Builder Guidebook and Motne's AU screen in that some of it's going to be very obvious to even a new player with a good grasp of basic math.

I've been thinking of advertising in Dungeon but nothing like full page ads. In discussions with other publishers, though, I'm not sure if it's worth spending the money.

This was a feature of every PrC in Joe's Book of Enchantment. After the Class Features section was a Minimum Paths section that explained what base classes (or combinations of base classes) were best suited for achieving the prerequisites for the PrC. Since only a few hundred people ever saw it, I guess it didn't catch on. :)

I seem to remember the chainmail bikini games martial arts book (beyond monks?) had multiclass stuff done out for their martial artist core class to match certain archetypes like a ninja, a temple guard, etc.

I fail to see how a thorough understanding of the game's multiclassing rules would be any less valuable than the multiclassing write-ups everyone's talking about.

Speaking purely as a potential buyer, PhilReed, I really like this idea! I *loved* the _Warrior's Guide_, found its mechanical advice very helpful, and especially liked the multiclass section (although I wished there were more examples). I always play multiclass characters- I think it is my HERO background that forces me to hypercustomize character options- but do not yet fully "get" the d20 mechanics enough to dodge the silly side-effects of multiclassing. That is why I am now playing a level 5 character with a BAB of +2..! Still, all things being equal, I will lean towards the cool class combos because I like to do that, but with mechanics advice to avoid some of my more boneheaded decisions, I will have more effective characters!

Wow. What classes does that character have?
