"Four eyes are better than two" Doc says. "How about Lavina and I take first watch, Shadow and Darius take middle watch, and Trayce takes last watch?"

After a thankfully uneventful night you march for another day, your new companions staying quiet, worrying about their friends and home.
At the late afternoon, you finally reach the end of the forest.
At the horizon you see a faint glint on the plains in the setting sun. Your destination?

"Anybody see any movement?" Shadow asks.

 

[Shayuri]

"No," says Trayce, shielding her eyes. "Just something shiny, far away. Too far to tell if it thinks. Too far to tell anything, really."

She grinned. "But metal things could make a shine like that. It could be the lost fort of the Ancients!"
