"weapon finesse for strength"

Is there a feat that allows the use of STR mod for missile/ranged attacks in the way that Weapon Finesse allows Dex for melee attacks?

Thanks.

Short Answer: No.

Long Answer: The problem with that is that it just doesn't make sense for most weapons out there. Thrown weapons already use your strength for damage... I suppose you could make a feat that allowed you to use your strength for the attack roll as well, but I don't know that anyone would use it, because no one in their right mind uses thrown weapons in D&D except maybe at very low levels.

Well, there IS a Feat that does that. It's an Epic feat from the WotC websight. Lemme look it up...

Nifty, they have Epic Insights compiled into a nice little PDF!

Here it is:

COMBAT INSIGHT [EPIC]
Your keen intellect allows you to place melee attacks
where they will inflict the most damage.
Prerequisites: Int 19, Combat Expertise, Epic
Prowess, base attack bonus +15.
Benefit: When wielding a melee weapon, add
your Intelligence modifier rather than your Strength
modifier to the weapon’s damage rolls.

Appareantly its a very very Epic thing to do.

True? I wanted to try that Flurry of shuriken halfling monk with all sorts of buffs and some sneak attack damage.

As for throwing weapons: Saw some high level fighter builds with returning weapons or normal weapons and Quickdraw, just in case they had some attacks left, the opponent dropped already and they couldn't close to someone else. Would that be so bad?
