What 3e (& 3.5e) terms are you sick of?

Not to be condescending or anything, but I think you misunderstood the previous poster. What he wrote didn't mean "chaos equals anarchist," it meant "chaos does not equal anarchist". != means "not equal to," kind of an obscure fact in non-programming circles.

Ahhh okies, I did misunderstand the poster, sorry about that. I don't program or anything and

And "!=" is shorthand for "does not equal." Learn the netlingo please.

netlingo is silly and innane. I just as soon start calling supplemental books splatbooks, which I detest because it is most often used as a denigrating term.

"Splatbooks" is a term I hate with a passion. It really sounds like a denigrating term to me, and so I refuse to use it in my reviews or otherwise.

Cheers!

That is an opinion. Even though it is valid as an opinion, it doesnt solve the problem of elf lovers or elf haters (or the eco terrorist problem outside of your campaign).

Well, almost universally, there are at least SOME evil elves, be they Drow or otherwise. And as such they can usually be counted on to be greedy and/or destructive. And I did put "IMO" in the bit about how cool elves are. :p

The terms "buffs" and "stacking" both came from EverQuest. Heck, I dont even know how to describe these concepts en masse anymore without using these words! Any ideas?

As someone else already mentioned- no, they did not. M.U.D.'s were using them well before everquest was envisioned. Since the main initial people behind EQ were mudders- then it is not a surprise these terms got into its lexicon.

Unfortunetly, "PK" did not come over in a positive light and destroyed my interest in EQ.

No they didn't. Before more people say that those terms came from EQ there were other games that used those terms long before EQ even came out or was in development.
