Yes, I do believe Destro is LE. I didn't say the analogy was spot-on, I said the alignment was. Destro's alignment is fodder for this thread - what's the problem?

while Cobra Commander is more Chaotic Neutral. I would love to back that up with examples, but I can't at the moment.

I think ole' ragface's wanton disregard for human life puts him firmly in the evil camp.

When the heck did Conrad Hauser ever get an Officer's Commission, much less a General's Star?

I thought a key part of the character of 1SG Conrad S. Hauser was that he had actively refused a commission (offered a Field Commission in 1971 as a result of a raid he lead on a Prisoner of War camp in Southeast Asia [strongly implied to be Vietnam] that rescued 34 P.O.W.'s, he was awarded the Medal of Honor from that incident). He went on record as stating the he believes that the real soldiers that do the real work are the enlisted men and he doesn't want any part of being an Officer.

Oh, and since this is an alignment of GI Joe characters thread: Duke is textbook Lawful Good. If he was a D&D character he could pull off Paladin with his upstandingly LG alignment (but would probably be a Knight in 3.5, or be a Warlord in 4e)
