What are people doing with their 3.x colletions?

Like many who have posted, I'm keeping setting material, along with some choice items that I may want to convert to 4E at some point. That said, though it was very hard to bring myself to do so, I've put a lot of stuff up for sale in both the old & new ENWorld Marketplaces.

And Darrin Drader, I think you're right that prices for 3.X material are going up. I've suddenly received offers on items I've had posted for months, without a reduction in the price listings! Of course, many of those items are still selling for 1/3 what I paid for them....

uh, where?
Hehe, excellent question! :D

Actually, since my shelves can no longer hold all the books they've started piling up in several places. But that's okay, as long as the piles don't completely block access to a room ;)

I've also had several shelves collapse under the weight of books - these things should really be more robust! :P

I guess, eventually, I'll have to put part of my extensive collection in boxes and store them in the attic. :(

Using them as reference material (conversion ideas etc) for my 4th Ed campaigns, just like my collections of every other previous edition.

I'll keep them with my other books, and when I turn 70 I'll open a used bookstore selling off my already too large collection. I aim to be an eccentric shop-owner, shuffling around in slippers and glaring at the customers.

:D

I am a Collector. I have a request.

*If you are going to throw away your 3.0 or 3.5 stuff, send it to me! I have a place for it in my Historical Library!*

If anyone is interested, I'll give my address!

Yours Sincerely
Edena_of_Neith

I'm going to ebay the mass majority of them. I'll keep the core books plus a few others for archive purposes (I still have BECMI and the last full set of 2E books that came out) but most of the extra stuff is being sold.

Goods & Gear, so far, is the only 3E book that gets to sit with my 4E books.
