Wrong. You're going to be with me at the Anaheim Hilton (next to the Convention Center) watching the band Warp 11.
"When you first see this band onstage in their Starfleet uniforms, you might momentarily think that this is a charade, or maybe even a parody band. But then they launch into the hard-driving title track “Red Alert” and you realize that this is no farce. This is serious, original rock and roll."
I've seen these guys twice in person and own both of their albums. They are totally hilarious, practically ooze charisma and stage presence, and the music is absolutely excellent. You will leave the show wanting to see and hear more. Don't let the Star Trek thing make you think that they're geeks or anything - they're fast-living, hard-drinking rockers first, Trekkers second.
The show is free and it's a great time to take a break to eat a meal and still be amused.
