Like many others, I voted better DM than player, and prefers to DM. Every once in a while, the dreaded "DM burnout" happens, but a little time away from the game has always solved that. As a player however, if I burn out from playing a certain character, it's always been much harder to get back into playing the character with the same enthusiasm I had before.

I'm probably a better DM than I am a player (as in, I'm always worrying about how good a DM I am), but I enjoy both equally(there have been times with hell players, of course, but they don't count). So I hit "Other"

Demiurge out.

I'm a better player and I'd prefer to play, but I'm still hands down the best GM for certain sorts of games with people I've played with and up there within the top ten 'good GMs" I've met I think. That being said, my best role as a player is as the 'editing GM' - check stat blocks, redraw the maps, bite my tongue when another player tries to disarm one of the traps I made up as a set of 30 for the other GM, and helping the other players out when they're doing 'player stuff' that I just never quite feel comfortable doing when I'm on the other side of the table. I can never really stop being a GM, but being a player means I suddenly get to focus on a single idea for a single character and actually stop being a horse's behind to my players - 'figure it out yourself, ask someone else because I'm busy, look it up and show my your source.' I hate being that way.

I always DM, and I think I perfer to DM, but that's because I cant remember the last time I was a player. I have been DMing for about 6 years, and during that time I have'nt played at all. Not even a short adventure... Sigh. Ah well, at least a get to play the monsters.

I think I'm a pretty good DM. I have my weaknesses, and I've become
somewhat rusty, but all in all, I think there' much more good than bad.
That said, I'm an absolutely terrible player. Even i I'm able to let go of
the DM mindset, I'm an egotiscial bastard.

I prefer DMing and spend a fair amount of timing bitting my tounge when playing - in regards to judgement calls and rules questions. But I really enjoy intense playing charaters -

oddly my stregths and weakness reverse when I am playing or DMing. As a DM I am all about long term plots and poltics, and suck at Roleplaying
As a player I focus exlusivly on character and nothing is done without roleplaying if I can help it, and I loose track of overall plots and some poltics.
