"I am a better DM than player and I prefer to play."

That is at least what remains from my own perception and the others' (hopefully honest) comments. I am neither a fantastic DM nor an appalling player, just have a little more edge with DMing - probably due to some good description and planning things. As a player I often get it wrong when it comes to solve the plot mistery

However I prefer playing just because I like surprises, and of course it takes less time & effort... If I had more free time (or less hobbies) I'd definitely spend more time DMing, at the end I like both equally, but I don't like DMing in a superficial way.

How would you describe yourself?

Someone who likes more descriptive subject lines.

I don't know if I'm a better player or DM. I think I have a lot of improvement possible on the DM front, but I don't hear complaints.

I enjoy both DMing & playing about equally, I think. I certainly feel less stressed when playing. Mostly its during the day before a session that I'm suppossed to DM that get feeling really stressed that I haven't prepared as much as I should've & that I have no idea what's going to happen.

I create great stories and plots but I bite at running it. I enjoy playing.

Alright I'm a better DM than I'm a player, but I chose other because I could care less whether I'm playing or DMing.

I lvoe DMing and feel I am a much better DM than player. When I play I powergame quite a bit and tend to be a spotlight hog .
When I DM I powergame quite a bit and love seeing my players solve the wacky problems I put before them. Often by bashing them but that satifies my inner powergamer.
