Played the Ticket to Ride Asia partnership map, which is awesome, a whole different Ticket to Ride, and King of Tokyo, which was crazy random but short enough to stay fun.

I can't wait to play Earth Reborn. That looks like it's gonna be fun.

Last week on craig's list, I found some local guy selling a huge collection of Tannhauser stuff, the base set, Operation Novgorod and a bunch of individual minis. Some weren't even taken out of the plastic bag! The whole lot for $50, where new it would have cost me over $170. I went and bought the new rules from FFG for $10 and now I have an almost new game for cheap. The new rules are completely rewritten from the ground up, though they call them "revised" and lets you use all the components of the original game. It changes the game from almost unplayable to something that makes it comparable to Dust Tactics fun.

Yeah, it really is too long with 7, and 6 is even too long for me. Five players who are experienced players makes for a quick game, but if there are any new players then four is about all I can take anymore. It's a fun game if it's fast, but really loses its shine when it slows down, in my opinion.

(For English speakers, the game is also called Citadels.)

Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, and Zombies!!!! are the current front-running favorites. Settlers of Catan, Munchkin, and Apples to Apples are still very viable alternates though.

This Tuesday we played a 6 person game of Mundus Novus, which I would have won if not for another player managing to shoot the moon which instantly wins the game.

We also played a card game about trick taking, but I can't remember the name, Yard Sale or something like that. Bargain Hunter, that's it. Mundus Novus took so long, and the other game going on took so long that those were the only games played, except for we ended with Wits and Wagers. It is a good closer along with Telestrations, which almost always has at least 1 hilarious moment.
