Weird...thought I'd already voted. Anyway, I voted other (homebrew).
We roll 3d6 in a six by six grid, and the player can use any row, column or the diagonal but had to take the scores in order. Instead of having to roll 36 x 3d6, I worked up an excel doc and put in each cell the "randomness" command. When I made the random any number between 3 and 18, I got too many 3's and 4's. So I changed the function to "random between 2-12 plus 6". I used that method for a human monk I'm playing now that resulted in S11, D16, C15, I10, W15, Ch10.
