What do you do if your DM gets sick...

Driddle

First Post
Let's say your DM becomes very ill -- a hospital-level sick -- because of something he may have consumed at the gaming table. And the police are involved because you might have said something in anger about the way he unfairly targets your PCs with level-draining attacks and you wished he would drink rat poison and die. Not that you meant it, of course, or that there's any fingerprints to prove anything! Because that would be stupid ... You know, stupid if you meant what you said.

Anyway, your advice would be helpful. What happens next?

Are you serious?

I really thought this was going to be a thread about whether or not you play a pick up game if the DM doesn't show.

I will have to agree with the others and say get a lawyer. I hope this is a joke, and if not, I hope you know a good lawyer just in case.

Good luck,
-Shay

Back away slowly saying "nice kitty...." Then point to a vague spot behind them and say, "Look! A golden lion marmoset!" and then run when they glance away.

(PS my joke detector is on the fritz so I hope my instincts were correct.)

Maybe it will evolve into a thread about games you can play in prison, complete with notes on carving dice out of soap.

Based on the title I was going to tell a tale of how we forced our DM to toughen up and play ball, but then he threw a curve ball at us. Personally I think that you are joking or just nuts, why would you incriminate yourself by writing on this forum?

Anyway, thanks for killing my nice and humorous story with your potentially serious dilemma. :]
