What do you want to see from DDI, Dragon, and Dungeon?

In the thread - I won't be doing Scales of War - WoTC's reply really rubbed me the wrong way. It also got me thinking about what I want fixed or changed with DDI, before the free preview ends, in order for WoTC to sell me on a subscription.

For me, I don't need the virtual game table and dungeon builder, or the character builder (I'm not switching to 4E). But, good roleplaying articles and fluff articles (Dragon) and good adventures (Dungeon), are system neutral for me, and the only things I would get a subscription for. However, I want some things fixed with Dungeon magazine (and I want to see them before the free preview ends) or I will not buy a subscription.

My issues are bigger (full page) maps in Dungeon adventures (both keyed and unkeyed) and I want some sort of overview/synopsis of Scales of War, PERIOD. For me, without these changes, a DDI subscription isn't worth it.

So what are your issues with DDI you want fixed or changed before the free preview is up? What do you like and dislike about DDI? Let's make this an open letter to WoTC about what we want with DDI.

A good laugh when it collapses on itself. I'd LIKE it if both went back to paper magazine format under the same guys who used to write it, but I already know that's not going to happen.

As I pointed out in another thread, they've never done a synopsis of any of the adventure paths in the past, so, I don't think you'll have a whole lot of luck there.

On the full page bit - I just realized that the maps in the adventures can be cut and pasted into Paint or Gimp and blown up as large as you could possibly want. They are more than high enough quality to be used as battlemaps.

Umm, ProfessorC, you realize that pretty much all the staff on Dungeon and Dragon right now worked on the print version at one time or another don't you?

There was a synopsis published for the STAP in Dungeon and I think that Paizo released a .pdf for the AOW that had a mini-synopsis for at least the first couple of adventures.

Except you're wrong - they certainly did a full synopsis of Savage Tide. They may have done one of Age of Worms, but I can't remember any more.

I'm very happy with Dragon so far. I haven't been using or really reading Dungeon of late.

Cheers!

I would like to see the magazines back in a print format as well. As far as the DDI is concerned. Meh. I have no opinion about it. I won't be subscribing to it anyway.

Simply put, I think that Dragon is awesome. Dungeon is good, but none of the adventures have really knocked my socks off yet (many of them contains awesome ideas and set pieces). Personally, I don't really care if there is a full synopsis or not, as I wouldn't probably run the AP until I had almost all of the pieces in front of me. Besides, there's still 2-3 more adventures per issue.

Where did they do a synopsis of STAP? Actually, the only one I can think of is in Dragon 359, AFTER the entire AP was published.

*goes and gets Dungeon 139 where the STAP begins*

Nope, nothing in there. I'm not going to go hunting for more now. So, where was this synopsis of all the modules of the STAP published? Other than the one that was published at the end.
