Setting: High magic homebrew

PCs:
Human Half-fiend BRB 6/ROG 3/RAVAGER 4/BLACKGUARD 7/TRUE FIEND (*) 2 : Longsword

Fiendish Human SOR 6/DRAGON DISCIPLE 16 : Natural Weapons/Breathweapon

Drow ROG 21/PERFECT WEIGHT 1 : Shortsword

Dwarven Lich CLR 21/MASTER NECROMANCER 1 (*) : Spells (carries a scythe but only uses it to perform sacrifices...)

Fiendish Greyelf WIZ 22 : Spells (has been known to use longsword or longbow under certain strange circumstances...)

Oh, and their all divine rank 0! Yes, we've really gone over the top with this one... :p

(*) : "True Fiend" and "Master Necromancer" are both Epic PrCs created by the guy who plays the human half-fiend. The first allows a character with the half-fiend template to become more and more fiend-like, the second one essentially adds more oomph to a spellcasters necro-spells.

Here's our current homebrew playtest crew.

Arel the Bloody! [HB-Warrior (Fighter)]: Big, Big, Heavy Spear, Lots of Hand Axes.
Grenloke! [HB-Warrior/Rogue] Bastard Sword and Battle Axe. Also carries a Composite Short Bow and a number of daggers.
Rhianea, the Hand of Arnora! [HB-Glaedin (Druidish)]: None. As a Glaedin, the Earth and the Sea are her weapons.
Nael, Captain of the Maelstrom! [HB-Talist Magi (Wizard)]: Spear.
Alkari the Viper! [HB-Rogue]: Twin Short Swords, Lots of Daggers and Composite Shortbow.

Cheers!

A'koss.

olde Greyhawk epic party
This ones been running almost 11-12 years or so

The dirty 3
Saint Granite,
LG Dwarf fighter 5, Cleric 28, Saint
Used to own an axe of the dwarvish lords but either broke or lost it some time ago. I think he's got an epic +lots battleaxe, dwarven thrower warhammer + shield and heavy armour. Mostly nukes stuff these days rather than mutilate it in hand to hand.
Welv
CN Sorcerer/Elemental savant of the Air subtype lightning. L 34
He nukes stuff, he also carries a +5 katana (from where he found it I dunno...) that zaps people. Well apparently it zaps people as he's never used it in anger, sexual frustration once or twice maybe...
Micarlin
CG Fey/Drow, 20Wiz, 10 Fey-Elriche, 2 fighter
Also known as the 'walking weapons factory' as theres about 4 concealed +1 knives, 2x +1 daggers, +6 longsword, +6 scimitar, +5 sabre, +5 shortsword, +5 Repeating hand xbow and a forest of magical staves. All happily squirreled away in a multitude of extra-dimensional spaces but her primary weapons are harsh language and multispell...
Cohorts
Welv: Dragan Human fighter type level 24
Master of chains, planar champion...rogue. Its a tank with a spiked chain.
He used to own a fair bit of sharp pointy objects but got hit with a mords-DJ last game, so he's down to rude language, pointy sticks and happy thoughts.
Mica: Regalaphim, Eldarin fighter 8 (28 all up)
10ft tall elf, +6 greatsword, spring attack, whirlwind attack... power attack. It wastes anything that looks to want to molest its little wizard.

Irregulars
Malcom Human CN fighter 32
Urgosh +8 & shield, also has a +5 Lifestealer greatsword.
This character is a bipedal killing machine... it will tear you a new arse-hole where your life used to be.
Lee, Human LG Monk 34
Punches the living snot out things, faster than a speeding xbow bolt, leaps tall dragons in a single bound. He dosnt need a weapon!

Greyhawk campaign (Mostly in the city of Greyhwak)

Thanos the Blade
Human Rogue 21 : Rapier, throwing daggers, and a Multitude of Magic wands.

My younger brother runs a Rogue in Greyhawk city and has been since 3rd came out. You don't see many non-multiclassed Rogues out there, but he can definitely hold his own in combat. He's known around Greyhawk for a magical throwing dagger he carries in a hip sheath (aka holster) that has a strap that covers the daggers handle. He can undo the strap, point at something, think a command word and it shoots out of the holster as if thrown by a person with Str 18 Dex 18. The handle is made out of gold and platinum, but he's wrapped it in leather because too many people ignored their good senses and attacked him for a chance at the rich prize.

This party was made in 1E, and has been changed over.

Norman - human fighter - greatsword or the axe on his rod of lordly might when he's feeling showy
Johnny - human fighter - spear
Sylia - elf fighter/rogue - longsword and shortsword
Telemon - elf wizard - lots of spells, and maybe a dagger about 8 levels ago
Kyus - elf wizard - see Telemon
Primrose - human cleric - a heavy mace all the bleeping time! After 10 years of the same campaign, the player still hasn't figured out that she can cast spells other than cures *sigh*
Vryce - human monk - fists and occassionaly his longsword (broadswords used to be a monk weapon, and we still honored it in his case)

The group I DM (3e DnD, evil urban campaign) use:

Xezz, female drow fighter 5: A mighty (+3) masterwork composite longbow, which she uses really well. She uses Rapid Shot more or less every round in combat. Before Louis joined, Xezz did more damage than everyone else in the group combined, and still does more than anyone else. She alternates between regular and masterwork arrows depending on what they’re fighting, and goes through them very quickly since she uses Rapid Shot so often.

Louis, male human fighter 5: A +1 halberd. He’s got a high Strength and Power Attack, so he can do a lot of damage when he hits. Xezz’s attacks are more accurate though, even when he’s not using Power Attack.

Urok, male troll 5 (from Savage Species): He alternates between a greataxe and his claws and bite. He also picked up a masterwork glaive last session, which gives him 15 foot reach. He has an unfortunate proclivity for throwing his greataxe at people, and actually killed another PC doing that. Unfortunately, that’s one of the few people Urok has killed, as the dice despise him with a passion.

Benny, male halfling rogue 5: Either his +1 shortsword or masterwork light crossbow. He’s got Weapon Finesse for the shortsword, and when he can flank and sneak attack he can do some damage.

Talos, male human rogue 5/assassin 1: His +1 keen dagger he found, or his mighty (+1) composite shortbow. As he only just leveled last session, he hasn’t been able to death attack anyone yet. He is also fond of using his wand of magic missile, which very occasionally doesn’t fizzle.

Veloth, male human cleric 3/sorcerer 2: He’s got a morningstar, but usually sits back and casts spells, most regularly magic missile.
