What Games have You Baught Recently?

RPG purchases of 2014, going backwards chronologically:

- Ehdrigohr (A FATE game with a very good indigenous people-inspired setting)
- Magical Medieval Society: Western Europe, 2nd edition
- Forgotten Realms Atlas by Karen Wynn Fonstad (I used to own this years ago, so this is a re-buy)
- D&D 5E (PHB, MM, and Hoard of the Dragon Queen)
- The Strange by Monte Cook
- Pathfinder books - Ultimate Campaign, Inner Sea Gods, Numeria, Occult Mysteries
- Dungeon Crawl Classics: Castle Whiterock box set

I think that's it for the year, which was a bit more than 2013 but fewer than most years. In 2013 I bought a few Pathfinder books, Monte Cook's Numenera, Pendragon (5.1 and The Great Pendragon Campaign), a few Midgard books, and 13th Age.

I'm going to stick to stuff I've bought since Gen Con, since the list of what I bought there is rather expansive (I still haven't read it all).

A few weeks back, I was able to pick up a used-but-in-very-good-condition copy of Volo's Guide to All Things Magical on eBay for a song. Man oh man, I'd forgotten just how overpowered spellfire was back in 2E!

I also pledged for print copies of both books in the recent Gor RPG Indiegogo campaign, and no, I'm not ashamed of it. I've been reading the beta documents, and I'm quite taken with the D6 system!

The most recent thing to arrive -finally - was the Guide to Glorantha and Argan Argar Atlas. It's hardly my most recent purchase, though, since the kickstarter ended over a year ago. The most recent purchase was a small selection of Traveller pdfs, from Gypsy Knight Games excellent Clement Sector setting. Which will probably not get read for a while, because, well, GtG.

There are now only three projects due in 2013 still to be delivered by my kickstarters.:cool:

One thing, at least, since I am a freelancer for Rite Publishing, anything that Rite Publishing releases, even on projects I am in no way involved with, I get free copies of it. So I continually receive new PF and Fate related material for free each month (though I don't play Fate...)

Anyway, dont give up on looking for a group to play with, your buying all this stuff, so that should be incentive enough to go find people to play with...

Funnily enough, I'm actually in a group of 61 members (and counting). The problem is that my schedule doesn't quite sync with any of the existing games, and there are so many other games going on that nobody has the bandwidth to play a new campaign that would fit my schedule. Ironically, it was me that started the group, about five years ago. In some ways, I'm a victim of my own success. :)

More seriously, I'm sure things will open up a bit next year. Just feeling sorry for myself because my 5e campaign has crashed and burned.

Weirdly enough, the last game I bought was a copy of the red basic D&D set from 82.. Got it cheap, and while I already had it in norwegian (probably the only translated edition ever) I wanted it in English for my collection.

Before that I got the old Greyhawk and Dark Sun boxed sets for 20$ total..

I had recently bought the core set of 1st edition AD&D, but the sellers on Amazon didn't say the dmg and mm were all mildewy and water damaged to heck. I couldn't get em fixed and I have horrible asthma so I had to give it over to someone who could be around it for five seconds without dying. >:( Only two books I gotten in bad quality and it was in row!
