Dr. Seuss was one of the art consultants for the prequel trilogy.
Seriously, imagine if Dr. Seuss switched from 70's kids animation to sci-fi CG, then watch the big clone and robot battle at the end of Attack of the Clones. I can't decide if the resemblence is hilarious or depressing.

i was told by a German speaking individual that Darth Vader, means dark father
and the same person says that it is pronounced vah-er as in rhyming with father.

As someone that speaks German and English, Darth Vader certanly sounds similar to "Dark Father".
But Dark would be dunkel in German and doesn't sound anything like darth, but it certainly sounds similar to dark.
The German word for father is Vater, which at least is similar to Vader in writing, and , in some older German or Lower German variants, Vater is vadder. The German movies use the same pronounciations as the English, so it doesn't sound similar.

The Star Wars RPGs- regardless of edition- would be full of sneetches. And I daresay gungans' roles would be replaced by whos.
