D&D General What is your favorite Fighting Style in 5e?

I really don't have a favorite.

I take TWF if I want to dual wield.
I take Dueling if i want to sword and shield.
I take Defense or Blind Fighting if using a 2 handed weapon.
I take archery if using a bow.

I think protection is theoretically the most interesting, but also really hurts sword and shield character damage due to not getting dueling style and has some suboptimal requirements to meet to use it.

They probably could have made a Fighting Style Master feat that gave you access to all Fighting styles or maybe 4 of them. That could be cool.

Interception. It's good for 3-12 (low end) to 7-16 (high end) damage reduction as a reaction all day long and you get to use it most rounds if you have a melee buddy or are helping a squishy who is getting attacked.

I use TWF a decent amount, but i hate it because it is just a patch on a penalty invented so that dual weilding needs the patch. Ugly design.

I like Dueling. I use with sword and shield or with a gish using a arcane focus and sword. I wish it gave a bonus for keeping the other hand free but oh well.

Superior Technique is...fun with a Rogue/Fighter or Ranger for riposte, but so limited in use.

Tbh the fighting styles are pretty boring. I would almost prefer they go away. I dont want small static numerical bonuses...ever lol. I accept PB and Ability modifiers because you have to have them in dnd, but i wiuld prefer if they were literally the only static numerical bonuses in the entire game.

Give me conditional expanded ceit range, or "when you deal slashing damage with a melee weapon, reroll any weapon damage die that shows a result of 1, until it does not show a 1", or "deal 1 additional weapon damage die when you crit" any day over "+2 attack with ranged weapons" and "make fighting this way not totally suck".
