I just put a post up about ability scores. It was somewhat related to this. Hmm.. how strange that similar ideas always seem to crop up together.

The greatness of I cannot be expressed in terms of ability scores and feats!
Plus, some of you guys must have bonked a lot o' kobolds....
I mean, by-the-book, none of us should have more than about 3 levels unless we were in a war. Maybe more if using some of the questionable systems about XP award for surviving a year.
I'd venture to say most of us are Experts, with a few scatterings of Warriors and Commoners for the more athletic/military trained/whatever amongst us.
Noteriety is no factor of levels. Tom Cruise might be an Expert with a high Charisma, but he wouldn't nessecarily be high level (though some of his characters probably would be.)
Anyhoo, it's all in good fun. But I'd like to see a few less mutliclass 5+ level characters out there, man. Some of us certainly have high opinions of ourselves.
I'd hate to be an adventurer in a world populated with EN board members....I'd get my butt kicked by dweebs. ^_^
Well lets see if you take into account the fact that most of us have had 13 years schooling. a good bit of us have had more. Now personally I've been capable of telling the idiots from the smart people since first grade. Take into the account that I actually listen to god which gives me a divine intervention towards wisdom and Int and I probably am 6th level.
Now you must be thinking that the only way to gain exp is fighting... bah what a roll player. I manipulate, explore, argue, flirt, and interact with the people around me. Now Yes I do have a high opinion of myself, but trust me it is well deserved. I worked hard to gain my abilities. Lets see 18 years of schooling, 12 years in the scouts, having parents mentor me rather than me learning on my own, plus I learn on my own. That just lists training it has nothing to do with experince, and trust me I've been manipulating and fighting since first grade. I know that if I can achieve it someone else can.

Been there, done that, didn't even get a lousy T-shirt. (Although I got some really cool scars and free drinks at the NCO club!)

Surviving a year in war or in life (which is kind of a war. Every morning you wake up is a victory)Maybe more if using some of the questionable systems about XP award for surviving a year.
I beg to differ. I'd eat a warrior for lunch.I'd venture to say most of us are Experts, with a few scatterings of Warriors and Commoners for the more athletic/military trained/whatever amongst us.
Tom Cruise (control) is a wuss, and so are most of his characters, IMHONoteriety is no factor of levels. Tom Cruise might be an Expert with a high Charisma, but he wouldn't nessecarily be high level (though some of his characters probably would be.)
Of course. I am the master of my own destiny. I have laid my hands upon the wheel of fate, stolen free will for myself, and let chance decide who my parents would be, and ill-thought out choices make me what I am today.Anyhoo, it's all in good fun. But I'd like to see a few less mutliclass 5+ level characters out there, man. Some of us certainly have high opinions of ourselves.![]()
Well, every year some people's paychecks show this. :I'd hate to be an adventurer in a world populated with EN board members....I'd get my butt kicked by dweebs. ^_^
