What the hell is THIS?!

I was offended by the existence of that ad on this page. I'm not really interested in getting any more specific than that, because frankly, about half the time, it turns into something like, "But it's just a blue teakettle with flowers painted on it. A blue teakettles with flowers painted on it is totally natural, and if you're offended by it, that says more about you than it does about a blue teakettle with flowers painted on it." And you know, feelings are not wrong. They can be based on faulty information. They can be irrational. But they're not wrong.

It looks like panty explosion is getting the press that it wants. People are talking about it, and so more will take a look at it. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the OP was one of the designers of the game. You sneaky little guys..

I saw a print copy at our FLGS last week. My initial reaction was chuckling and rolling my eyes. I think that's still my reaction.

Silly, harmless fun. No worse than Kill Puppies for Satan.

Quoted for truth.

Most annoying line of argument in the world.

I thought the title was pretty clever, for a small-press release: you give it a name that sticks out, and gets people to click the link and read what it's about. Pretty fun stuff.

Not only do people click the link, they drum up a bunch of buzz in the messageboards without the publisher having to do a darn thing. Pretty sweet deal.

On a somewhat tangential note, I've never really understood why taking offense at something is anyone's business but the offended person's. I'm always hearing stories on TV about how such-and-such a group is offended by such-and-such a TV show, or such-and-such a comment by someone, with the unspoken assumption that some people being offended by something is a good enough reason to ban things, cancel shows, or ruin the career of someone. Why does anyone care? Obviously if a TV show has good ratings, it's not offending enough people to hold a large audience. Certainly if something's actually, literally promoting things like violence or injustice, it is probably worth opposing, but if it just offends your sensibilities, go look at something else.

I'm offended by some things. But I don't expect the world to give a rodent's posterior about my opinions on things I don't like, with the exception of things I've already paid money for. Of course, half the time what offends me is that people who are offended by things get put on television to talk about how offended they are...

What the hell is a panty explosion, I ask you, and how in the name of Garl Glittergold do you manage to turn it into something sexual? At worst, it's just plain silly and designed to appeal to a juvenile sense of humor ("Haha! They said panty!").

Well, when you follow it up with psychic schoolgirls, I immediately think of Carrie, and that perhaps the panties belonged to someone who shouldn't have been getting themselves on the wrong side of a psychic pre-teen, laws of thermodynamics be damned.

Would anyone care to elaborate on the anagram FATAL, please?

If this question was in earnest, allow me to introduce you to innuendos.

Unfortunately, as this board has very stringent rules as to both religion and politics, I'm afraid you're on your own. Perhaps Black Leaf can tell you.......
Lovely. So those who must not be named for board-rules reasons are all the same. Kinda like how all DnD players are the same vis a vis the Chick tract?

Has the abyss started to stare into you?

"From Another Time, Another Land" -- worst RPG ever. The product of a "designer" trolling the gutter of his own imagination and defending it as being realistic.

Included such gems as randomized charts for the circumference of male PCs' reproductive organs and graphic rules for nonconsensual sex... under Wrestling.
