What version of D&D is your favorite to play?

I'm trying to get a handle on the composition of this site. I realize most of you guys like things about all 3 major systems and that you might change from one to the other. But try to think "right now" whats your favorite advanced system. I'm breaking it down into 3 major systems (based on general gaming philosophies shared in common).

1E
2E (Includes late 1E dragon lance and post Gygax)
3E (includes 3.5)

Note: OD&D is no longer tied to 1E and is not part of this pole.

3E by far, with apologies to Diaglo. Yeah, I started in 1974 with OD&D but I find each version "engages" me more than the previous version.

I am not voting here because the options are too biased. You cannot lump AD&D with OD&D as they are far to different. Also, it's missing an option to BECM/RC fans, which is completely different from all your options.

I agree that this seems as though it may be more an exrcise in confirmation bias than an impartial poll. That said, I voted for the third option, 'cause it and AD&D 2e are the only two options that are fairly represented (and I prefer 3x over 2e). I would have voted for either OD&D or BD&D if they had appeared as choices (neither is anything like AD&D1e).

I was all geared up for this to be a difficult poll, torn between the simplicity of Basic/RC and the consistency of 3e.

Then I saw it was 3e vs. AD&D, clicked, posted, and moved on.

This is not an attempt to "confirm bias" (whatever thats means), but to get a handle on how many posting at ENworld favor 1E (simple). This does not mean if you choose one you don't also like the other 2.

OP, if you are going to make a poll, make it as wide-open as possible so you getthe best responses. Limiting the choices in such a way as you did makes any reponses from the people here are Enworld suspect, becasue too many people will not vote, or vote soemthing they really do not beleive in.

That said, I will go with 3.5
