What would you Play?

Forgot to mention one of the very few houserules - the DM gives rangers d10 for Hit Dice.
Champion of Corellon might not be allowed - is Corellon a greyhawk deity?

Also, I'll have to ask how much out door adventuring we will have.

That being said, these are some great ideas - and I am going to read up on the crusader this evening.

Thanks

Would it be Greyhawk without the elves? He is an Elvish Deity. And as such, has been in the greyhawk mythos for as long as any greyhawk divinity.

Going Crusader/Champion of Corellon will take longer to get to due to the fewer number of feats.

Yes, Corellon is certainly Greyhawk

But as Crusader is also uber, and so is Champ of Corellon, this works fine.

Delay access to the PrC by a level, dump one level fighter, and pick up two of Rogue: Evasion, and sneak attack damage.
Picking up rogue levels would incurr and xp penalty so i'm not sure its worth it.

The Elven knights I was thinking of were the "Knights of the Hart". From the High Forest.

They weren't all elves, IIRC. Prince Thrommel was a Knight of the Hart, before his disappearance at the Battle of Emridy Meadows.

I have been considering a Dwarf ranger/deepwarden or Half-orc barbarian/fighter with some Greyhawk regional feats that give bonuses to either Will saves in general (or saves vs Fear effects in particular) to offset the poor will save.

Where can these Greyhawk regional feats be found?

Hey, stop quirking like that! You're only allowed to come in and start edition wars. Or at the very least express your hat. You can't suddenly leap in and appear sane... Such behaviour threatens the very fabric of the ENUniverse...

He recommended the hulking hurler, does that sound sane to you?

The ones from High Forest are, IIRC. But, there are also Veluna and Furondry branches.

A D10 for Ranger does make if more viable as a tank, but you're still in light armor without a shield. Doable, but not IMO ideal.

As others have said, a crusader does make a good tank. D10 HD, delayed damage, and the ability to heal yourself or others by making attacks.

Psi-warriors are an interesting class. They can tank extremely well, although you will do much better with a few rounds of prep than you will when surprised.

I'd go Dwarf Psiwarrior

str: 15
dex: 14
Con: 18
Int: 13
Wis: 16
Chr: 9

Wear heavy armour, use Fleet of foot to keep your speed up. You can use vigor to soak damage, and call weapon will take care of the lack of magic weaponry.
