Whats new in the world of Star Wars? (spoilers)

I guess I should say in the “universe” of star wars, but oh well. So that’s my question; who can get me up to date on whats happening in the universe of Star Wars, the newest developments. I mean of course, what is happening in the fictional world of Star Wars, im not interested in conventions or what the actors are doing or when shooting for ep. III starts or what George had for breakfast today.

I’m a little behind in my reading and the newest book I have gotten through was Dark Tide 1; Onslaught, so I think I’m pretty far behind. Can anyone give me a chronological list of novels that came after this? Did Han and Anakin ever reconsile? Are Mara and the twins still alive? For that matter, didn’t I see somewhere that Mara was pregnant now as well? Is Luke a daddy? That would be something.

Anything anyone has to say would be appreciated.

Let me sum up.

I'm assuming that since you posted this you don't care about spoilers, you should edit you're post and add [spoilers] to it in case any one else wants to avoid them.

For a list of SW books and when they happen go here, I will say you're nine novels and one eBook behind. The link is missing an eBook titled Darth Maul Saboteur, which takes place prior to ep1.

I?ll do my best to fill you in but I have a fuzzy memory and may not be able to remember too much, so I suggest that you check out the New Jedi Order Sourcebook when you get a chance it covers everything up through Star by Star. You can also try reading JD's Introduction to The New Jedi Order, I haven?t read it yet myself so I?m not sure how in depth it is (only found it yesterday and the WotC site?s on the fritz at the moment so I can?t check it out).

I?ll answer you?re questions first, which I?ve conveniently numbered.

1) Yes, just in time too.
2) Yes and maybe no.
3) She was and gave birth to a boy named Ben. The disease she had caused problems during the birth.
4) You?d hope so with Mara being his wife and all.

I?m drawing blanks at the moment so I?ll stick to big stuff I?m sure of, I may mention things you?ve already so bare with me. Also, not necessarily in order (I?m doing my best, really I am!).

Centerpoint Station (rememer this from the Corellian Trilogy?), was reactivated and used to attack a YV fleet which the Hapans were helping to attack but because of Thracken Sal-Solo ends up destroy a large part of the Hapan fleet as well.

The Jedi Academy was attack and they were forced to evacuate, with the students ending up on the Errant Venture. During the attack Tahiri (one of the students) was captured and the Yuuzhan Vong began turning her into one of them in the hopes of learning more about the force. Anakin rescued her with the help of a wrongfully disgraced Yuuzhan Vong warrior.

This largely came about because the YV said if the Jedi were turned over to them they would spare the rest of the galaxy. That demand led to the formation of the Peace Brigade, people supporting the YV in hopes of getting favors after the conquering is done.

Up through all of this a bunch of other systems are captured by the YV (they get all the way to the core with Duro possibly being the most significant conquest), though there was a lull in the expansion for a bit. Some where along the line the Hutts got on the YV?s bad side and were subjugated.

Leia was on one of the captured worlds when they YV attacked, they were attacking any planet that accepted refuges, which is what Leia was coordinating at the time. While rescuing Leia Jacen fought the Warmaster and badly injured him. This in addition to the knowledge that Jacen and Jaina are twins (an important omen in YV culture) leads to the demand for the Jedi being handed over.

At some poit Kyp tricks Jaina into convincing the New Republic military leaders into attacking and destroy a YV worldship that is being built (by convincing them it?s a super weapon).

All of this is rather minor compared to what happens in Star by Star, Coruscant gets captured by the Yuuzhan Vong and Borsk Fey?lya final buys the farm. In an attack against a worldship above Myrkr, meant to destroy shaped dog like things called voxyn (designed to hunt and kill Jedi), Anakin dies, Jacen gets captured (everyone except Leia thinks he?s dead as well) and Jaina starts to slip towards the dark side.

On the way back from the assault on the worldship Jaina and the othe Jedi stop in the Hapes cluster where Tenel Ka ends up becoming the ruler and the Hapans fend off an attack from the YV with their new fleet.

In Dark Journey Jaina becomes Kyps apprentice and pretends to be Yun Harla the YV trickster goddess while using a YV corvette/freighter analog to attack the YV and mess with their minds.

After the fall of Coruscant, the stuff with Jaina was happening about the same time as the fall and a little after, everyone ends up on Borleias where Wedge has set up a base to protect any ships fleeing Coruscant (after cleaning out the YV who had taken up residence). After a visit from the New Republic Advisory council where they try to convince Wedge to stay behind as a sacrificial lamb, he decides the New Republic is no longer fit to fit the YV and decides to form a new Rebel Alliance, who would have guessed with a name like Rebel Dream, eh? Plus we get cool lines like ?They?re not going to like the Empire? and ?Tycho, we?re about to achieve a tremendous victory we don?t want.? Tycho gave him a thin smile. ?We?ll put that in your biography. General Antilles was so good he couldn?t fail when he tried to.?

Amidst this Tsavong Lah got a new implant for an arm which is seemingly taking badly but which he comes to believe treachery by the priest done through the shapers to make him do as they please. Little do they know that he has a heretic shaper on his side. In case you missed it or forgot and bad implant is considered disfavor of the gods and would be a very bad thing for the Warmaster.
