What's the big stink about Rappan Athuk Reloaded?

I'm not sure of any local hobby store in central Oklahoma that is large enough to even try to get a copy. I honestly couldn't tell you any store which stocks Whtie Wolf products at all. The local ones sell D&D, and old backstock of stuff that's been sitting on their shelves for a decade. :(

Otter.. What part of OK are you in? I'm up in Wichita Ks. I have a boat-load of friends that liveing down in OK. In fact I know of a game store in Mena (sp) Called the Menagerie that has some copies on order right now. Run by my good friends Tami and Fred Key.

I'm sure some arrangement can be made! Get ahold of me at willcase at hotmail dot com and I will see what I can do to hook you up so you don't go missing!

Peace

Not sure I have ever heard of a town called Mena. Did you perhaps mean Moore, in central OK? The only Mena I can find is in Arkansas.

You know.. it may be in Arkansas now that I think of it, but I always hang with them in OK..Lol. Either way drop me an email and I will look some people up for you and see what I can do.

You can also try Wizards Asylum Comics & Games in Tulsa

Their number is (918) 250-2077

I called them up and their ## worked. May want to give them a try.

I also called Game HQ in OKC

(405) 691-0509

They take orders from alliance as well, which means they should be able to get orders put in for you no problem.

Good Luck

No. It isn't a jest.
Surely it must be a jest. Maybe this is the bestest of dungeons, but I seriously doubt it is the most famous of dungeons. In time, maybe. Currently? Nah. Heck, if I hadn't stopped to read this thread, I wouldn't know what it is. I've seen the words before, but had no idea it was a dungeon. I thought it was some kind of pacific islandish campaign setting with nubile young topless women.

Uh oh. Now Nightfall will try to offend you, with cryptic, unrelated digs to WotC. It won't make any sense, and it really will make you less likely to want to buy Rappan Athuk.

But you might want to read Orcus' latest post, that was actually enlightening.

As for "most feared", it's easy enough to kill off a party
Heh. The way my games tend to go, both those I run, and those I've played in the past, I always figured "Party Killer" was a feature of most dungeons. So yeah, "deadliest", "most feared", eh. whatever.

Actually, as hyped up as the deadliness of this is getting in this thread, I'm almost tempted to check it out to see if it would be the one dungeon the party kicked butt and scribed names in. That would only make sense with my group. :)

This is a group of 5 players that went through a few dozen reincarnations and characters when trying to go through the ToEE. Every week we played, and every week someone, if not most of them, rolled up new stats. It didn't just grind the meat - it ground the meat, cooked it, chewed it up, digested it, crapped it out, and repeated the process numerous times.

So hopefully Rapapn Athuk will become a great classic given enough time. It definitely has a great fan base to start growing into one.
See? That's what I was saying. In time, it might become super famous - legendary, I don't know.

Question: What this one - Tomb of Abysthor - that a few people have mentioned?
