Pathfinder 2E What's the deal with 3rd party PF2E Adventure "support"??

The new 4e licence - I can't remember it's name but it was more restrictive than the OGL - put many publishers off producing for 4e. The brand had power but the licence killed interest. PF2 doesn't have that excuse.
That was my point. There was another factor involved. In that case, it was a mishandled license.

PF2 doesn’t have to have the same other factor, but there will be another factor if the premise (that support is lacking) is true. It’s just not any of the posited factors thus far, as none of those have been shown to be barriers in prior situations.

I am pretty surprised if there is lack of 3rd party support. I mean, ignoring 5e, PF2 is pretty clearly a strong seller in terms of just RPGs, and if there is a lack of support then that's a market that's sitting there waiting to be filled.

The question for 3pp is whether or not that market is commercially viable. Evidence at the moment says no but it's early days. If there's still no 3pp support one year after release then it's doubtful there ever will be.

True, it is doing my well for an RPG: but other than 3.x (and PF by extension) and 5E, has any RPG ever really supported a full-blown 3PP market?

I think part of the problem may be that PF2 is, at least in some fashion, backward compatible? So the normal run of reboot adventure support is unnecessary? I dint know about Paizo’s claim of backward compatibility in style so I dunno for sure.

If I'm ever able to get some more experience for PF2 under my belt, I'd love to write some 3pp/fan-created material for it. The tools for developers seem much more generous than what is provided by 5e.
Like I tried to adapt an old adventure series I wrote to 5e, only to find numerous things aren't available to use unless you publish on DMs Guild - and then you have to use Forgotten Realms and aren't allowed to change certain things of the setting, cosmology, history, etc.
