but its like having a girl-friend or wife, and one night you and the guys go to the strip club, and the next day she asks, so what did you do last night, well it is a matter of "what she does not know, will not hurt her"

No, it might not hurt her, though it will most certainly hurt you. You will know you are dishonest. You will know that "liar" will be among the things that can be accurately said of you by others. You will know that you broke your bond, and that your word cannot be trusted. And you will know every day of your life.

So, yeah, didn't hurt her. Guess that makes it ok, eh?

A simple case of RTM, or RTPDF in this case. Look at the document for guidance.

If the .PDF document does not give you guidance in this regard, then you are home free to do as you wish. It would be extremely interesting to find out that the publisher forgot to protect their work.

I don't necessarily know if this is true. I don't put copyright guidelines on every essay or poem I write, but I still own the intellectual properties therein....

Woah there Fast Learner! I (sort of) think WiKidOgre was making his comments in jest (he did say he was feelin' a little saucy tonight!)...but even if he isn't I think we're going a little off topic here! (Unless the whole concept about how many PDF's you're allowed IS strictly a moral issue...then feel free to continue!)

I'd actually just really like to know what are the legal rules on PDFs (I don't think I saw anywhere where it told me how many copies I can print). I wonder what the publishers have to say on this (besides "give me more money!")...are any of the Nat20 people on line now? Or should I maybe post to the publishers forum? I would imagine it's a matter of you can print out as many copies as you want as long as they are for your use. However if you do print out copies for your friends... well thats a decision you need to make. ;)

No...

This is most certainly false. Any copyrighted material is protected by copyright law, not by the fine print that the publisher did or did not include in the material. With a PDF doc, I can print as many copies of it as I like, but all copies are for my personal use only. I am not permitted under the law to give away or to sell those copies to others in any way, shape, or form.

Well I WOULD like to keep a copy besides the bed...and another for some light toilet reading... :)

Geez...that would make it a tricky situation then wouldn't it?
